The Army Operations Research Symposium, hosted by the U.S. Army Logistics University, Fort Lee, Va., began Nov. 8 with a warm welcome by Dr. Forrest Crain, technical director, Army Materiel Systems Analysis Activity.
The Wilbur B. Payne Awards were presented by Gen. (Ret.) David M. Maddox, who gave a personal, anecdotal introduction to Mr. Payne. Maddox worked for Mr. Payne on two occasions during his service.

The splicing of pre-mRNAs into mature transcripts is remarkable for its precision, but the mechanisms by which the cellular machinery achieves such specificity are incompletely understood. Soil gradation is a classification of a coarse-grained soil that ranks the soil based on the different particle sizes contained in the soil. Soil gradation is an important aspect of geotechnical engineering and is an indicator of other engineering properties such as compressibility, shear strength, and hydraulic conductivity. In a design, the gradation of the in situ or on site soil often controls the design and ground water drainage of the site. A poorly graded soil will have better drainage than a well graded soil. [

Attention to detail is part of the philosophy at the PR Lab, particularly when it comes to analysing survey results.
I was eager to make this music for awhile out of discarded lighters I had picked up along the way however I don’t think the results measured up to my expectations I still love the idea but I don’t think it was executed well i use netting so I could see the colours through it when it was lit up but when I lit it up the colours came across very cloudy and very lowly saturated which was quite disappointing to improve this try thinner plastic maybe even sweet wrappers however this takes away from the weight and therefore the movement which is disappointing because it’s not my original goal but now I can explore other structures also I thought I’d enjoy randomly arranged pieces but when it got projected onto the wall it seems too disorganised especially for something which is meant to pass off as futuristic which tends to be a lot of clean edges overall this idea has a lot of potential and I need to explore different colour arrangement, in the plastics and how it would act attached to the body draping? Stretched? Structured over a frame?

Anita Li (M.S. ABA '13) from Florida is about to get a participant for one of the operant chamber experiments. An operant chamber is a container in which an animal is placed that has various manipulanda (like levers, or in our case, IR hoops) that are linked to some consequence (food, water, lights, etc). They are used to study learning.
