8x10 darkroom print

Also I'm really happy how the solarization turned out, it's a pretty hard darkroom technique.

 

Aftermath is a photography series I created during the pandemic, using a range of experimental techniques to explore the human condition in times of crisis. By employing methods such as film soup, developing color film with black-and-white chemistry, and innovative and alternative darkroom printing, I aimed to reflect the uncertainties and disruptions of the era. The work delves into themes of resilience, vulnerability, and the broader existential challenges posed by capitalism, offering a layered social commentary on our shared experiences during turbulent times.

This was shot with a polaroid sx-70 sonar, long exposure with a bit of movement, the emulsion was transferred onto water color paper. The pressed flower was glued onto photo.

Kallitype on Strathmore 300 gsm paper. X-ray contact negative printed from Silver Gelatin enlargement.

i'm making gelatin salt prints this week.

Continuing the lumen print experiments. I was trying to make a digital negative & ended up making a positive by mistake (don’t ask ‍♀️). Not one to waste an opportunity I thought I’d try making a lumen print with it instead.

 

I laid it over a sheet of Kodak Ektacolor paper, then laid a dirty sheet of glass over the top (my attempt to age it somewhat). Exposed for about 60mins in sunlight on my kitchen table then scanned & processed in PS/LR.

Shot with Rolleiflex 3.5T medium format TLR on Delta 100 film. Developed in Caffenol-C-H (15 mins @ 68F, normal agitation). Negative scanned on Epson V600 scanner. Post-processing in Photoshop. Cropped 16x9.
