So I bought another knock off Triad Alpha body but it didn’t fit the project I needed it for so I decided to try transplanting the arms onto my Curvy Barbie’s shoulders since the shoulders were the same diameter.

 

I ended up yanking out the Curvy arms out using pliers and took out the connectors too. This left some holes for the connectors on the Alpha arms to fit in nicely.

 

I ended up cutting up her original arms to put her hands onto some Obitsu connectors and dremeled the Alpha forearms to be more narrow to flow with her original hands.

 

I’m not too… happy with the result but eh it’ll do until Curvy Barbie gets some articulation from Mattel…

A Foden Alpha tractor unit fitted with generating unit. Providing power for the "Snow Storm" ride at Newcastle Hoppings Festival. This truck was ex Frank Barnes (Darwen) - enjoying a new life in showland!

Built in 1956 by Adler Werft GmbH, Bremen (yard no. 9) as STAR for Argo Reederei Richard Adler & Sohne of Bremen. Sold in 1968 to Peter Quast (P/R MS 'Alpha') of Hamburg and renamed ALPHA.

Sold in 1988 to MV 'Ralph' Charter Ltd and renamed RALPH under St. Vincent flag. Sold in 1989 and renamed ALPHA, then DON for Belle International SA, registered in King's Lynn. Sold in 1992 to Herbert Trading Ltd and renamed REMA under Honduran flag. Sold to unknown Turkish owners in 1995 and renamed SUNA 2. Sold in 1998 and renamed LANDRO under Panamanian flag. Sank in the North Sea in the same year.

Foden Alpha Brick Block Loader/Drag, T128 KAG, Gundel Transport Services, Mansfield.

Concorde G-BOAA was the first of the type to be delivered to British Airways and was delivered to the airline on 14 January 1976. She flew until 2004 when all Concordes were retired, during which time she had made 6842 supersonic flights.

 

She now can be visited at the Museum of Flight in Scotland in a purpose-built hangar and thousands come to see her outside and inside every year.
