In social animals, the alpha is the individual in the community with the highest rank. Male or female individuals or both can be alphas, depending on their species.
In hierarchical social animals, alphas usually gain preferential access to food, preferential access to sex or mates, and in some species only alphas are permitted to reproduce.
The position of alpha also changes in some species, usually through a physical fight between a dominant and subordinate animal. Such fights may or may not be to the death, with relevant behavior varying between circumstance and species.

What is Alpha Company?
Alpha Company is a highly-specific themed-based military MOC group, centered around a fictional part modern, part sci-fi Infantry Company in an alternative timeline of the contemporary world.
What are the Alpha Company Forums' goals?
- Develop and Promote the fan-created Prometheus Saga alternative universe canon, including background stories, official models, building instructions and other resources, made freely available for fans to create derivative works.
- Foster a spirit of friendship and international cooperation amongst Fans of Lego (FOLs) by providing the resources for staff-moderated community-driven projects.
- Encourage a higher level of building quality and graphical design by exposing members to the works of critically-acclaimed builders, minifigure customisers and decal designers, providing opportunities to learn from their work through detailed "Behind The Scenes" deconstruction.
- Promote the proliferation of baseline LEGO Military models for customisation and integration into collaborative displays at Lego Fan Conventions and other public events.
- Allow members to participate in role-play Infantry, Airborne and Armored Company units inspired by the structure and characteristics of real-life organised Armed Forces, or to create new units based on those officially accepted as canon.
Who founded Alpha Company, and when?
Alpha Company was founded in 2007 by Adam "kaboom" Dufrense, Chandler Parker and Robin "GreenLead" Chang, operating initially as a group within the BrickArms Forums. The group officially opened its own forums as an independent entity on July 4, 2009.

i made a little logo for myself the other day using some type i created. i decided to flesh it out into the rest of the alphabet and see what happened.

Before the alphabet coke trains, the W&LE, AVR, SWP and B&P coordinated with each other to run some coal trains. Here an empty with the newly arrived AVR SD45 bodied 40-3's lead empties across Mingo Creek Viaduct enroute to the SWP interchange at Owensdale, PA. From there the SWP will take the train down their Bullskin branch to the loadout just north of Connellsville.

Was messing around with some Hero Factory parts, ended up with a previous version, changed the legs and the feet.
That head configuration really reminds me of some clerical cap.

The Rio 2016 Summer Olympics is in full swing, and it is already an impressive event... British Airways is the official airline for Team GB and the Paralympics GB team, and will fly them home once the events have finished.
Prior to the Olympics, British Airways had launched a competition asking the public to name one of their aircraft which will fly both Team GB and Paralympics GB home. A number of names were nominated which included; Gold Force One, Mission Accomplished, Golden Hauls and VictoRIOus. Sadly, Planey McPlaneFace didn't get a mention!
VictoRIOus was revealed as the chosen name on 16th August 2016, and G-CIVA will be the airframe that will fly both teams back home from Rio. She has also been adorned with a Golden Nose and with the hash-tag GreattobeBAck on the side of the fuselage.
British Airways single daily flight between London Heathrow and São Paulo was once primarily dedicated to Hi-J Boeing 747-400's before being downgraded to Mid-J Boeing 747-400's owing to the weak Brazilian economy. Since the 10th August 2016, 4-class Boeing 777-200ER's have taken over for the rest of the Summer 2016 duration, whilst Airline Route reports that Boeing 777-200ER operation will end São Paulo service from 29th October 2016, British Airways flight schedule sees Boeing 777-200ER's remaining on the route after the end date.
British Airways fleet of Boeing 747-400's currently stands at 38, however the fleet will reduce down to 36 by the end of the year.
Charlie India Victor Alpha is one of 38 Boeing 747-400's in service with British Airways, delivered new to the flag-carrier in March 1993 and she is powered by 4 Rolls-Royce RB211-524H engines. For the first part of her career, she carried British Asia Airways Landor colours until September 1999 when she gained Chelsea Rose World Tail, however retaining British Asia Airways titles until April 2002. By October 2003, she received British Airways corporate Chatham Dockyard Union Jack colour scheme.

2019 will see the end of the Belgian Alpha Jet. AT12 is here seen in the original, beautiful camouflage.
Belgium received the first of 33 Alpha Jets in October 1978 as a replacement for the Lockheed T-33A and Fouga Magister. The last one was delivered in July 1980.
They were used by 7 and 11 smaldeel at Brustem and later Beauvechain, but in september the fleet moved to the French-Belgian Advanced Jet Training School at Cazaux (France).
