CN's transfer from UP Itasca is just minutes from arriving Pokegama Yard in Superior on the evening of June 3, 09. This short transfer has just ducked under the BNSF and starts on the "new" post Missabe alignment at Saunders. Right after the CN bought the Missabe and took over the Interstate Branch here they ripped out the old siding, tore down the Soo bridge and put in a new curvy single track approach to the BNSF bridge for a better route through Saunders. The old Missabe alignment can be clearly seen in the foreground.

I love parallel lines, alignment and symmetry. Even Michael is facing East and perfectly aligned with the boats in this photo.
