Aphrodisia began her life as a farm girl. With four brothers, it was often that she, the only girl and the youngest, was lost beneath the accomplishments of her brothers. Around her twentieth birthday, her parents sent her to France in order to meet with a suitor under the watchful eye of her grandmother. However, Miss Jordan never made it to France. Somewhere between the Jordan farm and the capital city, Aphrodisia was attacked by a supposed pack of bandits.
It was nearly a week before Aphrodisia resurfaced, back at the farm. She was not alone. The 'bandits' were with her, dragging her by her hair. As one unit, they shoved her inside her home with her family and boarded up all the windows and doors, sealing the young vampire inside. For a week, Aphrodisia suffered and starved. Finally, she snapped.
Within two hours, her parents, her four older brothers and her baby sister were murdered at her hands... drained of their vitae. Once released from the house by the vampiric bandits, she killed them as well, torturing and murdering her Sire by tying him to the farm fence and allowing the sun to kill him. Some say these events were the source of her... quirkiness.
During her long time alone, Aphrodisia had one off-spring, she named Aeron Jordan. Aeron stayed close to his mother for a few centuries before striking out on his own, appearing in and out of her life, but always with good intentions for his mother.
For centuries, Aph roamed the world, leaving a bloody, fucking path in her wake. In 1749, she was brought into the reigning Coven of Louisiana. Two years later, she was made the Master of the Coven. For 250 years, Aphrodisia led the Coven successfully, breeding and moulding the pack of vampires into unique and well-oiled death machines.
That was until Aeon came along. Seemingly effortlessly, he swayed the minds of the Coven Elders. In a very public, very humiliating and very painful assembly, Aphrodisia was given the marks of the Exile across her right eye, her ability to reproduce was painfully removed and she was cast out into the sun. Luckily, despite stripping her title, the Elders were unable to strip her of the powers garnered by years of being a Master. She was able to protect herself long enough from the harmful ultraviolet rays long enough to get into the darkness.

Domain structure, phylogeny and conservation of critical catalytic features of ciliate PIPKs.A, Domain structure of Tetrahymena PIPKs. The RING domain predicted in PIPK2b and transmembrane and SecY domains in PIPK5 have been removed (see Table S1 and Methods). Domain boundaries, e-values and further details are given in Table S1. B, Unrooted neighbor-joining tree of catalytic domains from 37 ciliate PIPKs. Bootstrap values from 5000 replicates higher than 60% are indicated near the corresponding branches. Group 1, 2, 3 and 4 PIPKs are color coded (blue, green, red and purple respectively). Circles and triangles represent Tetrahymena and Paramecium PIPKs, respectively. Bar indicates number of amino acid substitutions per site. Phylogenetic relationships of ciliate group 2 PIPK genes were less resolved with less nodes supported by high bootstrap values. In Paramecium, 4 additional group 3 PIPKs that are organized in 2 pairs of paralogs (PtPIPK3c,d and PtPIPK3e,f) and they are most related to TtPIPK3 are not shown. The position of the KKxE/AxxxK motif in the specificity loop is indicated by a bar; further K residues that may contribute are highlighted by light blue and most ciliate PIPK1, but not PIPK2, genes confront to the consensus KK motif. Note that in all but 2 ciliate PIPKs the +2 position (E/A residues) in the specificity loop is occupied by a Glu residue as in all PtdInsP 5-kinases.

The Carnac stones are an exceptionally dense collection of megalithic sites around the French village of Carnac, in Brittany, consisting of alignments, dolmens, tumuli and single menhirs. The more than 3,000 prehistoric standing stones were hewn from local rock and erected by the pre-Celtic people of Brittany, and are the largest such collection in the world.
