Taken at U Min Thonze Pagoda on Sagaing Hill (Myanmar). This site is 20km from Mandalay and a former capital of at least two Burmese kingdoms. Today it is home to a multitude of pagodas and monasteries.

Handball. N2M : Saint-Malo retrouve le goût du succès contre Oissel
Accroché, mais jamais devancé, Saint-Malo s’est imposé en toute logique ce samedi contre le Cercle Seino Métropolitain (31-26).
« Contrat rempli » pour Julien Gau et ses joueurs. La victoire était obligatoire ce samedi face au Cercle Seino Métropolitain (Oissel), dernier du championnat de N2. Les Malouins ont fait un match, comme le relève leur coach : « On a été bon dans la gestion des temps défensifs, ça nous a permis de récupérer quelques balles, de trouver les ailiers en contre-attaque. Sur la fin de match, Oissel revient et on retombe dans nos travers. ».
« L’expérience a parlé »
Pourtant, les Bleus rentraient à la pause avec un avantage de 4 buts (15-11), Oissel était trop faible, enchaînant les erreurs et les déchets techniques. Au retour des vestiaires, les planètes semblaient s’aligner pour Saint-Malo avec l’expulsion de Braga pour un tir dans la tête du gardien, Julien Carrier (35’). Mais Oissel ne décrochait pas, et revenait progressivement dans le match. À dix minutes de la fin du temps réglementaire, Saint-Malo avait un avantage de seulement deux buts. « On s’est mis dans le doute, mais c’est délicat car on était sur une série de défaite qui nous faisait mal. C’est dans ces moments-là que l’expérience a parlé. », constate Julien Gau, qui s’est appuyé sur ses joueurs cadres pour rester devant. Cherel a bien dirigé le jeu pendant que Robinard a marqué cinq buts décisifs dans les dix dernières minutes (dix au total). « Il nous a beaucoup apporté. Il a mis les buts décisifs et a créé les espaces pour les autres. Je n’en attends pas moins de lui. ».
Cette victoire met un terme à trois défaites de suite : « C’est une belle victoire collective. Maintenant, on va profiter un peu, car on en avait tous besoin. On va se remettre au travail lundi pour préparer le match de Caen, une vraie finale pour le maintien. »

Vous êtes dixième et premier non relégable, c’est une saison compliquée ?
Dès le début de la saison, notre objectif était clair : jouer le maintien. On y est. La saison dernière, il y avait d’autres joueurs, c’était un autre contexte. Cette année, on aurait pu avoir deux ou trois victoires de plus qui nous auraient permis de terminer la saison plus tranquillement. Je ne suis pas surpris de notre classement, on reste Saint-Malo avec les moyens qui sont les nôtres. Il y a, dans le championnat, des écuries beaucoup plus imposantes et c’est difficile de lutter contre elles. L’objectif maintenant c’est d’enchaîner sur les six derniers matchs pour remonter au classement.
C’est votre première année en tant que capitaine, quel est votre rôle ?
De rassurer l’équipe et aussi de dédramatiser l’enjeu pour que nous puissions jouer relâchés. En fin de compte, ça ne reste que du hand ! À chaque match, je dis aux joueurs qu’il faut que l’on ait confiance en nous, et moi j’ai confiance en eux. J’ai confiance en notre groupe, j’ai confiance dans notre jeu, sur ce que l’on peut produire collectivement mais aussi sur les qualités individuelles de l’effectif.
Face au dernier, samedi, c’est défaite interdite ?
C’est victoire obligatoire ! Il ne va pas falloir se laisser prendre par la pression et l’enjeu du résultat, mais on sait tous qu’il ne faut pas le perdre. Ça sera à nous de se rendre le match facile et nous en avons largement les moyens.

While this quote seems to be about focus, it is also about properly aligned priorities. I wanted to capitalize the word "someone," as it was Someone who aligned things in my life so my perspective was corrrected. As the great John Newton hymn says, "I was blind but now I see." And when things start to blur, I know things are getting out of alignment once again, and that Someone becomes my focus and things miraculously line up again. Beth Moore says, "Worship is focus." And so when I am able to worship, I am able to focus, and I'm able to say Eucharisteo, and even though I may not see the ending or the final outcome, I am able to see His hand in all, knowing all has sifted through God's hands for my good and His glory.
