This competition is held for World Sight Day 2017.
A detail of the base-board with the alignment dowels (also known as cabinet makers dowels) installed. Unlike normal wooden dowels these dowels are metal, and have a matching socket.
A couple of times a year, the light from the setting sun lines up with our house's off-kilter situation. This image shows the light across our dining/living room carpet, from the kitchen window behind me.

Day 38 from Kim Klassen's Beyond Layers e-Course. A Week of Inspired Quotes - Day 5. Each day this week, Kim is prompting us with one word and to find quotes fitting that theme...either writing about it in our journal or blog...or combining with a photo. The word for today is focus. Texture used is several layers of Kim's brushedlinen.

While this quote seems to be about focus, it is also about properly aligned priorities. I wanted to capitalize the word "someone," as it was Someone who aligned things in my life so my perspective was corrrected. As the great John Newton hymn says, "I was blind but now I see." And when things start to blur, I know things are getting out of alignment once again, and that Someone becomes my focus and things miraculously line up again. Beth Moore says, "Worship is focus." And so when I am able to worship, I am able to focus, and I'm able to say Eucharisteo, and even though I may not see the ending or the final outcome, I am able to see His hand in all, knowing all has sifted through God's hands for my good and His glory.
