24, 25, and 26 May 2023, Barcelona – The Union for the Mediterranean, in collaboration with ANIMA Investment Network will organize a Conference on “Aligning investments with sustainability and corporate responsibility – The digitalization of impact measurement’’, in Barcelona (Palau Reial de Pedralbes) with the support of the German Development Cooperation and EBSOMED.
Investments, particularly Foreign Direct Investment (FDI), are intended to contribute to the socioeconomic development of host countries by creating decent jobs, generating income, favoring technology transfer and skills development, and boosting productive sectors and services, among other advantages. However, not all FDI necessarily positively affect environmental and social aspects when it comes to their own business model and impact.
Worldwide commitments, for example, the Paris Agreement on climate change, the UN Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights, and the EU Directive on Corporate Sustainability Reporting, set out a series of principles and guidelines which promote environmental sustainability and social inclusion. In this framework, it is crucial for Business Support Organizations and Investment Promotion Agencies (IPAs) to scrutinize investment projects based on sustainable international standards to prioritize those which are economically profitable, environmentally sustainable, and socially inclusive.
In this context, this joint Conference will be the occasion to showcase several initiatives aiming at driving private investments towards achieving the Sustainable Development Goals as well as to have an exchange on how to use concrete tools to assess their performance in terms of economic, environmental, and social effects.
This event is intended for participants from the UfM countries representing:
Public institutions, private sector and business support organizations
Investment Promotion Agencies IPAs
Investors and international financing and development institutions
Think tanks and Research Centers
The UfM will sponsor up to 30 participants from non-EU countries based on their profile and geographical and gender balance. Selected peopled will be contacted in due course.

Hi,
As you may know I have been working with people, businesses and organisations around applying Mind Magic and Psychological Artistry to their delivery through coaching and workshops. My aim is to introduce something new and fresh into the existing mix of ideas. This is about learning and doing something different. I am now running The Fascination set of workshops. This is a brand new workshop that has all new material from any previous workshops held. You will be given new routines and supplied with the brand new Fascination pack and supporting materials.
THE THEMES OF THE FASCINATION
The theme of this day, as the title says, is Fascination. The contents of the day combine learning Mind Magic routines and Psychological Artistry with the psychology and power of Fascination. In short, we look at how you can use the aspects of Fascination yourself.
The overall themes of all the workshops we run are:

Creativity & Innovation
Mystery, Magic & Surprise
On The Fascination workshop, we look into these in fine detail. How do you use creativity and innovation? How do you apply accumulated advantage to your delivery? What is the mystery, magic and surprise that's wrapped up in what you do?
We seek to answer some of these questions on the day, and by doing so, ignite the passion you have for your work, business, coaching and in your personal life.
Every second we communicate on a face-to-face basis, we broadcast thousands of Fascination signals. These can be on purpose or on accident, positive or negative, powerful or weak, meaningful or meaningless. What is undeniable though is that we can't help but broadcast them.
Interest, awareness, intent to buy or curiosity is not enough. Making something bigger, better, louder, cheaper or bolder may work short-term, but it will always fizzle out. We're over stimulated, over cluttered and over worked by the amount of choices and stressful decisions we are forced to make that calls for our attention.
Our limited focus is often black-mailed by these messages to pay attention to just one at a time. However, when a message fascinates us, when its presentation is fascinating and when a person uses The Fascination, we can't help but have our entire focus pulled towards it.

Seen in the un-named rock formations that lie two miles (3.2 km) northeast of Delicate Arch. Much of the hike was in the streambed of Winter Camp Wash in Arches National Park. I had to climb over a barbed-wire fence that marked the park's border.
