Macro 1X con apilamiento de foco por control remoto del anillo de enfoque
Macro 1X by focus stacking using the focus ring remote control
2016-03-23_18-51-22 M=A R=8 S=4
Ingredientes:
-Nikon D600 + Nikor 105mm macro 1X

Macro 1X by focus stacking using the focus ring control
How do you can do it :
Ingredients:
-Nikon D600 + 105mm macro nikor 1X
-Helicon Remote control for automatic focus stack using the camera focus ring (using USB)
-Helicon Soft Focus Stacking (56 shots, Method B, R = 8, S = 4)
-Helicon: You can download a free trial for 1 month, or a license for a year for € 50, it controls almost many Nikon and Canon via USB. There are other suppliers of soft for stacking, p. ex. Zerene, ControlMyNikon or Canon, Combine Z, etc.
-optional: 3D (Up Plus 2) printer to manufacture light bulbs, brackets, desk, etc. You can use the friendly 123D Design (free soft) for pieces designing.
Recipe:
-Ilumination with 4 or 5 micro-LED bulbs. The lighters can be designed and printed using a 3D printer and then mount the LED´s (high brightness and 5300K), the power is 12VDC for groups of 3 or 4 LEDs. The advantage over use of flash, is that you can positioning the lights and lighting make up before shooting, in addition to the volume to be achieved by playing with these lighting.
-Shot photographs using, p. eg Helicon Remote. Helicon controls the approach to the movement of the focus ring before the photo shot, the whole process of taking pictures is automatic, you can watch videos on youtube
-For 1X do you needed 20-100 photos, depending on value of f, focal and deep of field needed, automatically calculated by the soft. Often used the sweet spot of the lens (usually in the vicinity of f5.6) to optimize results
-Now we stack of shots using Helicon Soft
-We can use Lightroom or the like to remove "halos" and "artifacts"
-Once you have practice, the whole process can take 30 min
-And sorry my English, please.

Captured this with three RAW shots at -2..0..+2 EV. Digital blending in Photoshop CS6. I increased the overall saturation with Hue/Saturation in Photoshop. Curve adjustment to increase the overall contrast. 1 layer mask in soft light mode at 50% gray, using brush tool to lighten and darken some areas of the image, to bring out details. Topaz DeNoise to reduce noise. Topaz Clarity for additional boost in color and contrast.

This mushroom appeared among our strawberry plants. The forest is near so the spawn might get there easily. Still, it looked quite inappropriate, like an alien. The mushroom is probably Morchella esculenta.
Alien art
My picture above is showing that an alien bird is picking up a leaf.
Development of some aliens from an animal stage to a developed stage ( at tree of life) might take very long time or the expected development might not happen at all if some components don't come together.
The environment, the world they are in, might not be very rich for the development of the aliens, and/or biological development might head in a very different direction. Their "tree of life" might not have proper branches for a progressive development. The tree would be weak, like a tree in a desert.
For a chemical reaction, we have to have specific atoms. We need substances to create other substances. For reactions to happen, we have to have some conditions present at the place where the reaction should happen.
Already developed aliens would be the lucky ones, passing all hurdles. When we consider the existence of billions of stars, planets and a lot of different places within planets in our universe, the probability would be very hight to be lucky for some aliens.
Another issue is that we might not see any alien at all because of the distance between stars and galaxies. Non of us ( we and aliens ) might reach the very high development to create very high technology to fly that far ( the distance between galaxies getting more in each day, expanding universe ) before our universe collapse, before the black holes pull the galaxies, before the stars of the planets explode, before the artificial intelligence takes over ( AI doesn’t need to be conscious and alive, and doesn’t need to have feelings and emotions. it can survive on its own if it is programmed properly ), etc.
Al might be the biggest threat to humans and aliens, it could wipe out them very easily. The creation of very destructive Al is possible when we consider how much hatred there are in our world between nations, races and between the people with different religions.
Also trying to help the other guy find his contact.
And wanting to be drawn like one of those French aliens.
The buds of the Agapanta flower suspiciously remind me of the aliens in "The War of The Worlds" sending me on an imaginary trip into another place and time!
A Dragonfly Nymph casing, quite Alien looking in its appearance but another marvelous example of natures magical transformations.

Like this lamppost is alien between the trees I feel often alien between other humans.

I like to wander some graveyards alone
And think of all that I've become
What kind of box I would go and would you even notice?
My disappearance
My impressions
Iʼm just waiting... waiting...
[Chorus]
And until then, my desolation
Will be my trademark, I'll always remain alien
And however hard I try to integrate
I'll always remain alien
[Verse 2]
You say I should go out
In every brutal town
There is someone of substance
Forcing me to do things I never do
For instance, laugh at jokes of you
Small talks have simply no relevance
[Chorus]
And until you change, I'll keep my delighted face
It is my trademark to always remain alien
And however hard I try to integrate
Iʼll always remain alien
I was actually returning to sculpting minifigs for a bit and decided I needed a scale reference and ended up making this version of Ripley instead. The rubber bands hold the half bubble dome in place quite securely and provide a nice thin line for the helmet at the same time.
Now to try and get some of these parts in pink, yellow and blue for Dallas, Kane and Lambert.

This pretty tangle of sunlit vegetation was found along the nature walk in the Cowichan Bay estuary. What isn't so nice is that it is made up of some very tenacious introduced alien species, including Scotch Broom, teasels and Queen Anne's Lace. Like them or not, these are impossible to eliminate and are here to stay, a legacy of our history of colonialism and meddling.
As I watched the Sage Grouse perform their mating dance I wondered if they were the model for some of the aliens in movies.

I took this a while back, though I can't remember why I didn't uploaded it here.

This area was one of many that burned this year. It's appearance, as I walked through it, looked alien. Everything had burned as far as I could see.

This is another photo from Alien World. I had planned to get out ther in October, but it isn't working out. I can't find anyone to go with me. Just don't think it is worth the risk to do it alone.
So if anyone is interested, and can hike in severe conditions, let me know. I plan on going to KOW and Alien World one day, and would think about doing some hikes in the northern part of Bisti Badlands on another. It would have to be someone I have followed and they followed me on Flickr for sometime..
"On top of the world" makes me think celestial. I always loved space. Loved visits to the Griffith Park Observatory as a child. So I am reminded of the recent UFO sighting in Texas that has zero explanation. Some call me crazy here, but I think it's crazy to think we're alone in this vast universe. Sure, the laws of physics apply to us all, Earthling or whatever. So getting here would be rather advanced and fairly mighty--way more mighty than us guys are capable of who thought we were being overtaken by communists when a poor dog got shot to the moon not that long ago.
But if you listen to the news for about five minutes: senseless war, senseless hatred, senseless cruelty, senseless desire for power and money (or hey, just listen to our President for five minutes!) it becomes obvious that, although human kind has made some pretty amazing advances over time and figured out some complicated stuff (hundreds of year ago even) and have created some breathtaking art and committed acts of beauty and humility and selflessness, we're just not there. We just don't have the stuff yet. Hey, women in other countries are still covered head to toe by men who are afraid of their power. Today is MLK day and it reminds me of how racism rears its ugly head so easily. Once again, all because we're afraid of others. Afraid of what we don't know and what power others may have over us.
Yeah sure. Large multi-eyed aliens come here with big lasers or phasers or whatever and take us over in seconds and eat our heads. Sure, could be that scenario. But perhaps not. Perhaps they're just like us, only from a graduating class a few millennia earlier. You know, class of 10,000--except we call that 250 BC. And maybe they figured it out and checking out their galaxial neighbors to see what's up over in our end.
So, outside on this beautiful, sunny and still chilly Seattle day went me and the camera, in search of. I didn't even see a plane today (flight paths), but I did convene with a bunch of chicadees. That tree over my head is full of them, chirping loudly, chatting. Hmmmm. Maybe...maybe. Something to consider.
