I've always wanted to build something unique from an official Lego set. Using parts from a single Lego Ideas 21320 Dinosaur Fossils set, this design shows the Facehugger from the Aliens franchise movies. The creation was built over a period of six weeks during the Covid stage four lockdown.

Aliens friends were getting ready to blow a hole in the wall to free him. Luckily the lawyer was able to get him released.

A follow-up on the progress to the Warrior Alien head sculpt. ALIENS 86 - 1:18 scale. Some smart phone shots showing the sculpt from several angles - still a work in progress. Should have it complete tonight.
The torso you see here will be a total re-sculpt....presently it's a casting from the Revoltech figure. Helps with scaling/proportion. The lower abdomen piece however is a cast of an original sculpt from my 79 Alien. I can get away with using it for the Warrior but the upper torso will be a complete, original re-sculpt as I hate borrowing parts when I have the ability to create them myself these days....
If you have the ability and time, sculpt it.
I still have to borrow articulated joints and extremities such as hands from time to time...especially with the human figures, but when I can sculpt it myself I will do so...
...and with the Warrior alien finally moving forward, others are sure to follow...Ripley, Marines, Newt, Burke, Bishop.....Queen(cough,cough)....
The facehugging alien from the Aliens movies. It has characteristics like the creature, including Speed of 5, and Jump and Glide of 5.

This sculpture by DAVID Breuer-Weil was originally " located in Grosvenor Gardens by Victoria Station where tourists could be seen taking its photo and Londoners used Alien as a sunbathing spot or backrest while they lunched."
David Breuer-Weil said: "I am delighted for my large sculpture Alien to have landed at Mottisfont, where there have been visitors for over 800 years, dating back to the 13th century.
"My visitor is an alien from another world, another culture, representing contemporary life where visitors can arrive not just from other cultures but also from other spheres. I want to surprise the viewer here with the shock of recognition.
"Alien is another version of ourselves. I am happy for this moment of recognition to take place in the remarkable environment of Mottisfont, with its rich texture of history and physical beauty."
Part of a hive wall that will be part of a huge Alien diorama I am building for my AVP collection. All those structures were sculpted with Apoxy Sculpt.
A wood carving done by Donna Kaunike in 1996.
I've contacted the artist on Facebook and she has replied that she no longer makes carvings.
This is a photograph of artwork I own.
The Rinehart R-100 Alien set up in our yard for Halloween. That's also a Rinehart flamingo that it's eating.
Meanwhile, the alien plant, with its tentacles extended, listens to the movements of earthlings around, and prepares to report its findings back to the mother ship.
Sculpt update on "the Beast" - Alien 79 rework of the creatures head sculpt.
Working on some updates to the skull, the maxilla's depth, the teeth and a new lower jaw. The teeth are all being sculpted similar to the fashion of the larger egg layer xenomorph I've posted updates to recently. The size of this piece is considerably smaller than the egg layer so rather than the teeth being sculpted separately, the entire set is a single piece. I have more work to do with the lower jaw, it's teeth along with details to the "lips" if you can call them that . I'm making molds of each of these small pieces as I go along. Very fragile and I don't want to have to sculpt these pieces over again if I can help it. I'm using Aves FIXIT sculpt so it has strength but even at this scale, it can break easily.
More to come - gotta take one project at a time as I slowly get back into a routine that's been off course now for almost a year. It's not been easy to do. Just need to get along with it.
Thanks for looking!
