I left my digital camera on while I fell asleep. Somehow I was transorealitized to another dimension. The aliens allowed me to take pictures of their military operations.
Recent storms caused by the "Beast from the East" have shifted tonnes of sand on Redcar beach revealing the remains of ancient woodland lost to the sea at the end of the last Ice Age. This SSSI site is believed by experts to have been part of Doggerland which existed until 5-6000 BC.
The "petrification" is caused by pore spaces within the wood being filled by minerals to give a "Stone-like" structure
HAPPY ALIEN DAY!!! smile emoticon Hope everyone has a chance to celebrate in their own way! For me it feels like everyday is Alien day in one form or another. LOL!
Sculpt/Build progress on the Narcissus Shuttle/Stowaway - ALIEN 79 - 1:18 scale. Completed the build of the sleeping stowaway, the next step is to fill the gaps. If you think assembling a hand made, articulated figure is difficult, try assembling a static posed figure in a sleeping/resting position and make it look convincing. It takes a heat gun, temperature and time...and timing is everything. Mess up, right back to casting replacement parts to the point where I just took a day and cast parts exclusively so I wouldn't be delayed again.
The shell of the Narcissus wall panel continues to progress. Looks rough right now but for it being only a structural build without detailing it's acceptable. The figure will be removable from the back of the diorama if need be. I also completed the dome portion of the tower build for the shuttle.
The image of the Alien is my 300th work in progress shot since I began sculpting the beast. It's been a heck of a run and I'm seeing the light at the end of the tunnel with the Big Chap...but the crew isn't complete and my ALIENS project is only beginning so the work continues.
More to come! #alien #alienday #narcissus #shuttle #nostromo #aliens #stowaway #sculpture #diorama
The second of two semi-static posed figures is complete. This version depicts the creature as it appears in the deleted "crab-walker" scene from the 1979 film as Lambert and Parker make a desperate attempt to escape the Nostromo. This deleted scene however was thought comical by many, not well executed on film and revealed too much of the creature...reducing it to nothing more than a man in a rubber suit...something Ridley Scott was avoiding by using smoke and shadow.
Hand sculpted, hand painted. 1:18 scale. I borrowed resin cast parts from the original Alien figure I created a year earlier, made modifications to the torso, neck, shoulders
and legs.
When crouched or "crab walking", the figure is approx. 3" high from highest point on head to the feet. When standing, the figure is approx. 5.25" high, still not fully erect as the leg and hip joints limit the full motion (again, this was originally meant to be a static posed figure). Fortunately I was able to add several articulation points to the figure: Ball jointed neck, shoulders, elbows, wrists, hips, knees and ankles. Vacuum formed PETG dome is removable. The tail is static but is attached using a revoltech joint and can be switched out with a longer tail option.
Original was sculpted using Aves FIXIT sculpt, a two part epoxy. Parts were cast in resin and assembled to build this version. Used Model Masters Polly Scale and Tamiya acrylics.

The E.T. insurgent is tucked safely away behind the 6-foot chain link fence with the accommodating barb wire atop chain links. The ONLY entry into Detention Camp Georgetown is through the highly secure military gates that are guarded by armed military guards twenty-four seven. The ONLY access to the alien insurgent is granted to military, government officials, and MAINSTREAM media . . . .

Alien autopsy
The alien autopsy was a hoaxed medical examination and dissection of a dummy depicted in a 17-minute black and white film released in 1995 by London-based entrepreneur Ray Santilli. He presented it as an authentic autopsy on the body of an extraterrestrial being recovered from the 1947 crash of a "flying disc" near Roswell, New Mexico. The film footage was allegedly supplied to him by a retired military cameraman who wished to remain anonymous.
In 2006 Santilli admitted the film was not authentic but rather a staged reconstruction of footage he claimed to have viewed in 1992, which had deteriorated and become unusable by the time he made his film. He claimed that a few frames from the original were embedded in his film, but he never specified which ones. In 1995, before being exposed as a hoax, the film was sold to television networks and broadcast in more than 33 countries.
Best friends forever!
