La Vallée des Temples (bizarrement appelé vallée alors que ce sont plutôt des collines) , véritable centre d'intérêt d'Agrigente, vierge de toute agression moderne. Les site incite à la méditation, c'est presque un voyage dans le voyage.
The Valley of Temples (strangely called valley while they are rather hills), real center of interest of Agrigento, virgin of any modern aggression. Site incites to the meditation, it is almost a journey in the journey.

One of the Ibis was startled by the Egret's landing so close to him. The Egret meant no agression --- just wanted his feet on dry ground. After this, they shared the shoreline as a "family."

The figures (via transcriptions from L.Dams) are from neolithic Spanish rupestre : 'Tajo de las Figuras' left, and 'Bacinete' right. The figure on the right seems to hold a bird and the figure on the left may have been an intention to draw two people, or an individual that is always looking rather than a mask. The image has gone through a perspective distortion so some proportions may be slightly out.
The site is Savassona in north eastern Spain and just south of a compressed steep meander of the river Ter. Whilst the above was perhaps the main focal point of the site, there are other appropriated boulders, paradolmens and rock carvings in the chain that forms the sprawling cluster.
Several elements have been highlighted for this open-ended visualisation.
1. A giant rock slab has been desaturated into black and white. As I visited the site, it was clear to me that all rock strata were horizontal; that the vertical strata of this rock do not have either accompanying signs of geological folding or, easy alternative explanations. There is a hilltop with rocky outcrops aside this site and one can know that pieces of the cliff will break away and falling down, but could it do this and still stay in one piece - I doubt it. Also a lone massive slab could not fall down to land clean in a vertical abutment. The main monolith is similar to a second that is within shouting distance (see below). Both of these mega monoliths have been adapted with neolithic intervention of basin and step. It seems that there is a possibility that a slab from above either fell naturally or was pushed, and once liberated, was guided into position by man to finally key into place next to a pre existing ritual monolith. If this is the case, then the stone is certainly a megalith hovering in an unknown category between menhir and orthostat. The dark corner at the base between this slab and the monolith may have been used as a paradolmen abris.
2. A visualization of large wood beams has been overlayed onto the first of several ledges that have been carved into the main monolith. Refer to accompanying photos to get a feel for these ledges. I've not proposed a structure to hold up the near side. These beams would have made the primary structure for a platform or stage. With this addition, other elements are easier to understand. Moving a gigantic 'menhir' into position would require many rollers, rails and levers, and integrating these into the design of the final ritual space must be considered as being possible and even 'human' (I digress, but with the same logic, a chain of posts seen via post-holes at Stonehenge would simply be the then mythical rollers and rails and levers that were used to move the stones; perfected tree trunks on display with pride and lineal grouped form and not the drafty 'screen' to 'hide' imaginations of sadism as can be seen on certain television archaeology explanations). The beams might then have been covered with a wicker surface after a flattening with a fibrous cob. The under-hang under this stage would be a cool space. Step-basins cut into the rock under the 'stage-ridge' are confusing, but may show that people could slip through openings into the middle of the stage for magical effect or excited provision.
3. With a raised platform, ritual and dance can find place and elevation. Notice how there are around three other full width ledges carved into the rock. With one sturdy raised surface, the other ledges need not be deep to support simple cane weave steps that might have been then bound and tied tight against the wall and the stage beams with occasional interior physical support. Now, there is a stage with full width of three or four steps up to the final wall face. Full width steps can support singers, story tellers, pageants and theatrical rites - human qualities.
3. From the last of the full width top steps (that is to be imagined by the viewer as it is not represented) you can now see a diagonal of large oval basin-like steps that have been highlighted in dark. We do not have stairs like this in the modern world. These are not stairs designed for bringing breakfast in bed without spilling tea on toast, rather steps that simulate the clambering skills of the real late prehistoric world. Five are very easy to see.
4. The diagonal of steps arrives at an element I'm terming a 'tree of life' - here highlighted in red and perhaps the most striking element to the whole ensemble (again refer to accompanying photographs). With a stage and steps, whilst the carved and stacked ledges of the tree of life are still high, they are now within contact with the raised surface and might be used without safety ropes. If you look at the companion photo, there may be more steps hidden under the moss giving the sculptured tree as many as five levels of branch. To get to the very highest level of the monolith and potential menhir, 'threads' of ovaloid steps can be found. If just six people of good voice were in their best vivid allure gave their voices to a gathering below - assembled as a choir on the branches of the 'tree of life' - then the effect would be extraordinarily, memorable and emotional. This would not be the sort of structure that any single clan could construct, but as the Savassona site is at a natural junction of many regions, it could evolve for the use of a truly wide population. Returning to the example of Stonehenge, it is worth remembering that the with this example of a megasite, the energy to create came from diverse populations feeding from each others skills and enthusiasms and not from 'tribes' het- up on ideas of blood-soil, with the creation coming from peoples 225km apart. Peoples with an interest in an attractive loci near a river that has access to both sea products and landscape crossroads may have come from the deep foothills of Andora, Aragon, the wide planes and mountains of Catalonia or the rocky coast of the from the Costa Brava, and in a way the loci may be understood as a formal neolithic 'calcification' of past tacit Mesolithic loops.
5. Potentially semi natural alcoves have been highlighted on the ridge prior to the top surface. Cross legged 'Big men' might be seen in these alcoves - big men who have traveled down from the river Ebro or up the Ter; down from the Pyrenees or up from the planes. Rites of passage may also rush to fill these prized high alcove positions. The ability of the Iberians to defend from manipulative Roman agression for 200 years may have come from the capacity of strong local communities to trust each other and group for a common need - a social skill that had grown from a deep prehistory signified but sites like this.
There is plenty of room for this interpretation to be wrong, but the greater site is sprawling with differentiated monoliths. With another monolith seemingly offering diverse basins apt for specific rites, another stone with a potential 'folk' character possibly warning against lazy fakes, tricksters and the selfish, a potential necklace stone for adorning beauty and skill and perhaps a sacrificial stone at the base of another monolith, it can be seen that a menhir-stage with symbolic climb would complement the rites and entertainment capacities of the greater Savassona site. If the side slab turns out to be a megalith then I think it might be called 'the giant song stone of Savassona' reflecting the possible resonance, framing and call to all people that the stone might have framed. My first post of this site used the term hubbub, and with all of its natural geographical connections, I still think that it is the right choice of word. After the hubub people will return to their crofts, their fishing huts, their long walks and their memories.

Those screaming naturally aspirated engines sound glorious! Especially if you walk up to the wall, right next to the track along the start/ finish straight, right around the pit exit where they drive-by full throttle, you will experience the full uncensored, uncut brutality.
Pure thunder, agression and evil violence. It is devilish! The sound and the fury from the naturally aspirated V10 or V12 travels from the car into the track through the ground and moves up into your body and the evil demons will possess you and your body starts to shiver. It is terrifying and these demons tell you: I'm not safe, I'm not supposed to be here! And without proper ear protection, your ears will get raped. Its no picnic, I'm telling you mêin. Its the evil of the thriller.

"Giving Tuesday" is a global day of giving, celebrated in the U.S. on the Tuesday after Thanksgiving to encourage acts of generosity during the holidays.
In that spirit, on this Tuesday Night Fights at Bijou Planks, Rob Van Dam is generously giving CM Punk lots of blows to the head. Rob is freely, without charge, donating much Van Damage to his opponent. RVD is so into Giving Tuesday that he desires to give CM Punk a cornucopia overflowing with abrasions, contusions and concussions.
Is that RVD a giving guy, or what??

Maia is growing into a very pleasent little cat, bold and perky without showing any agression at all towards any of the other cats. But, thou it might be hard to belive, she's not particularly good looking, I think all of her littermates was more beautiful then she.
As if there ever was such a thing as a non good looking cat.
And she lies in my wastebasket from IKEA, it's called "Fniss" and costs 19 Swedish kroner.

American comic actor Jack Oakie (1903-1978) is pictured (at the top and to the right of Stalin, Hitler and Mussolini) as "Benzini Napaloni, Dictator of Bacteria", a satire of Mussolini in Charlie Chaplin's 1940 film 'The Great Dictator'. Directly below that is a scene showing Nazi storm troopers ('Brown Shirts') stoning a protestor.
Rivera pictured, just below the 'trio of tyrants', the image of Charlie Chaplin (1889-1977) appearing as 'The Great Dictator' in which he portrayed both 'Adenoid Hinkle' (a satire of Hitler) and a Jewish barber (see the figures to the right of the Nazi storm troopers). Chaplin appears in this panel several times.

Following an aerial battle over a fish, this fight between two adult Bald Eagles takes a surprising turn of agression. Taken in La Crosse, Wisconsin in 2018.
Met this local regular street character on the streets of Bath Today. Her name is Rainbow and she was very nice - even if the image does look a little aggressive- maybe this was at the point where she was describing the hassle form our local police that she gets :)

lately I've been taking fotos with my analog cameras rather than with the digital one. but I'm still alive!
life's not really exciting these days, but that's not always a bad thing, right? actually I'm thankful that things aren't stressful. a lot of people have to struggle in and with their lifes, so I'm glad things are mostly alright for me. except for that I feel completely filled up most of the time and that's kind of an issue as I lost weight again.
a sunny weekend. yesterday we had family-lunch after a quite long period of not meeting up. my grandmom made apricot- and strawberry-knödel (dumplings) which is really my favourite meal (and I didn't order it, she just made them! so that meant a lot of joy for me.) and mom showed some vacation-fotos, and since it was finally sunny, we could sit outside in the garden and it was all nice.
mauti and me had delicious coffee and shared a tarte aux pommes at one of my favourite places again later that day. on the top of my cafè olè there was a cute pattern which I wanted to take a picture of - sadly I had forgotten my camera (I turned all grumpy at that point) and I think, mauti rolls his eyes when I freak out about such things. but I guess he has to roll his eyes a lot, ever since I started being so freaky about food. (really, I can get the most joyful person over a slice of cake or - something much more unspectecular like when I found a new kind of organic noodles to be sold at the grocery store or something …)
today we went for a walk and I enjoyed another delicious coffee and we also went to a da vinci exhibition which was rather lame and the admission fee was too high. anyway. in the afternoon I grabbed a few items (shown on the foto) and sat in the park.

- the newspaper which amused me a lot today (yeah, that happens sometimes)
- the latest issue of "brand eins" which's cover is very cute and eye-catching this month (don't you think?). I just subscribed to that magazine so I get it monthly and it's so smart! I'm so anti-fashion magazines, even though I'm a magazine-addicted. I read a lot of design magazines which are fashion-magazines in a way too, but they inspire me and my way of creating and fill me up with new ideas. I really have an agression about typical women's fashion magazines (like vogue & co). but that is another story. I just think, if you have free time and want to relax by reading something, you should rather read something that's still gonna' be interesting in one week and which's not completely "out" and "impossible". and reading something intellectual doesn't always mean it's exhausting. anyway.
