Finally returning to my computer so more stuff going up. And as always I enjoy seeing and showing this car.
Some pictures, some views never get old. Another cold, foggy winter day in the reflections of the beautiful Elphie
Dear friends, thank you very much for your visit, faves and kind comments!
I wish you have a nice week ahead!
I took this sunset at St Ives in 2007 and tbh i did little at all in the way of new post work but i did upsize it in a minute or so. i have two upsizers and in this instance I used Gigapixel.. Jonathan was reading on Drs.Net ( they even have a photography forum on the site ) how easy it was to remove copyright symbols too now. AI is becoming a monster but I do find the upsizer useful for my old shots..Sue :)
Set of thee oldies again and comments are still off. We were supposed to be on holiday this fine weather week but things have not gone to plan...nothing new there and its not health related i'm thankful to add. !
At 10:14 a.m., this morning, August 10, 2022, UP 4420 and 3814 power the westbound Rocky Mountaineer across Colorado Route 72 at the entrance to Coal Creek Canyon. This was the second week in a row that UP locomotives were used on the Moab-bound luxury train in place of the two RMRX GP40-3s. 😢
This location is west of Denver at mile 23 on UP's Moffat Tunnel Subdivision just railroad east of Plain siding. Photo by Joe McMillan.
The season's first snow storm had not moved out of the valley yet when I shot this on a chilly September morning. I always look forward to this time of year when the leaves are peak and the mountains are once again covered in snow. ❄️
Sometimes you take a photo that is so right that you find many ways of enhancing it.
I've posted this guy before many times but this time I have isolated the elephant from the background, blurred the background and then extended either side to give this panoramic portrait.

A Sandwich Tern foraging offshore at Elie. Just a practice shot really to see how good the tracking features are like on the R6. Going to take a bit of practice methinks.
Happens quite often when they are having a tug of war, Moose manages to pull out some of Charlies fur.
I couldn't very well start out a brand new year without a sepia shot and without a photo of my "thinking spot" So I made it short work by combining both into one. lol :)
I have a feeling wonderful, amazing things are going to happen this year. Positive thoughts = Positive results!!
Once again the funding to continue the operation of this service is thrown into doubt. The SA Government has again refused to fund this service which carries 40,000 passengers per year, for just a couple of hundred thousand, meaning it will potentially finish at the end of the month.
NR106 passes through the Adelaide Hills village of Balhannah with the thrice weekly Adelaide to Melbourne "The Overland" service operating under train number 2AM8. The train was well patronised on this day, as per usual.
