There's a car park either side, but the smaller of the two on the right has been used as extra outdoor space.

The original pub on the site was a large detached house bought by the brewery chain in 1920. It had a Saloon bar one side and a Public bar the other. Between the two was a door leading to the bar which was used as an off-licence.

The present building was built on the site in the 1980s and given a refresh about a decade ago.

We've been looking for a good groomer for Bogie since moving to Edmonton. This is the result of the first and last cut at a new place. You can see how uneven the ears are and the weird shapes on top of his head. And they shaved him right down.

He was so embarrassed by his little stick legs he refused to look at me while I shot.

Poor baby. At least it will grow in. And we'll continue to look.

ps...if you look closely you can see his badass collar :)

In October of 2020, Earl and Daryl were just starting to work on a much nicer version of this house. (Picture in the first comment). A couple of weeks ago, I happened upon this house again. What a surprise. It looks worse than it did when they started three years ago. The flat roof and gutters are in worse shape than before and the property is totally overgrown. When asked what they were doing to get such poor results, they replied, “Watching TV. The owners called to say they wouldn’t be back for four years.” I hesitated to remind them that they are now under a time crunch because they only have one year left. What to do with those boys?

Once again, I have to thank the incredibly talented and utterly patient, Wendy. I can tell her what's in my head and she goes to work creating the perfect pose. Not only that, but she also built the pier. She's amazing in so many ways, and just about the sweetest, most gentle person you could ever hope to meet.

The burbs of Toronto....this style of fence is so very common so I try to find one that is not as common. The berries and lighting makes this (to me) not just another pressure treated fence. HFF and Happy Holidays

HSS- took about 20 shots.. the LBC doesn’t like the phone/camera but she sure does love me so she puts up with it..... playing in the portrait mode and with filters in post processing. wondering if I should “dust” her virtually?

Out on a riverside walk with family we were amazed to see clouds of may flies overhead with their unmistakeable movement - rising fast into the air and sinking down gracefully for a second or two before shooting up again. The grass below was studded with tired creatures snatching a quick rest!

Another jaunt to St Mary's again, never tire of this place even at low tide, as it allows a shot from these rocks if only briefly as your limited to the time on them before you get cut off.
