This female Maratus seemed bemused to watch two males fight over her. She kept trying to get away from them both but they were quite determined! While she doesn't have beautiful flaps, I think she looks lovely in her own way.
Son & Heir with his mother, featuring a bruise in the exact shape of an alpaca's hoof. Mir rangefinder, Tri-X in Diafine. Needs a rescan to get rid of the Newton's rings, but at this size I don't think they're very obtrusive.

You can see a bit of an uneven wave in the stripes here, but I didn't want to block this too hard for fear of stretching all the bounce out of the yarn.
i was taking picture of the pagoda of the korean friendship bell and was waiting for them to move away. the guy saw me and he probably thought that i was taking some pictures of them so i took this shot. too bad the girls face was in the shadow. i gave them my email address so that they can email me and ask me a copy, which they did the following day. i hope they like it.

DS 234. Look for an area with a big differential in light. Make a photo exposed for the brightest area, isolating a subject.
The escalator in a local shopping mall lit by sunshine entering through big windows was a very good stage for lights mixed with shadows. Now I had to wait for some interesting subject...
This shot, Daniel was shouldered by my mom, however the scene occurring to me is I was once carried on her back. Different period, the same affection.
Le choucas affectionne les points surélevés d'où ils dominent le paysage : falaises, carrières, clochers, tours, ruines, châteaux, allées de grands arbres, forêts. Outre la raison qu'ils représentent d'excellents observatoires, ces lieux ont en commun le fait qu'ils abondent en trous, en fentes, en crevasses et excavations qui sont les endroits que le choucas privilégie pour la nidification. Toutefois, ses lieux de nourrissage se situent dans les prairies et les champs. On le retrouve en plaine et dans les montagnes jusqu'à 1200 mètres d'altitude.
C'est un oiseau sociable, vif et bruyant. Il lance des cris aigus très différents des autres corvidés. Il niche généralement en petites colonies. En hiver, il accompagne les freux et les corneilles noires dans les champs dans leur quête de nourriture. Le soir, plusieurs centaines de choucas peuvent se rassembler en dortoirs pour passer la nuit dans les grands arbres. Il est migrateur partiel en Europe.
Les Choucas des tours couples sont unis pour la vie et ils sont presque toujours réunis. Il est grégaire et recherche sa nourriture en groupe. Les choucas des tours se rassemblent, notamment en automne, le soir formant de grandes bandes pour passer la nuit dans des bosquets ou dans les parcs des villes.
