We went to Philly for the day and though my goal was to get a Philly shot, I ended up trying to quickly capture this moment. This is also the first time Shada shows up in the 365. She was able to avoid it for 176 days.
Unnatural Affections
One Pride Day in Toronto, I noticed a guy taking a million pictures of all the scandalous perverts, but pulling faces to clearly communicate his disapproval. Of course I had to photograph his performance. The moment he noticed, he rushed up and demanded I stop. I dedicate this to him and hope he found some kind of redemption in his collection of dirty, dirty pictures.
So, for your consideration, a set of illustrations taken from an encyclopaedic catalogue of human sexual diversity, chosen to poke at the way we run together moralizing with evidence-based medicine to produce ideas about what's healthy and what's criminal. Experts dissect and evaluate and problematize, religions vilify - and tourists walk around with cameras taking pictures and going EWWWWW!

there seemed to be lots of same-sex friendly affection in morocco. perhaps because opposite-sex affection isn't considered ok?
When I asked this man permission to photograph his horses, which were set up to pull a wagon in the parade, he agreed readily. Then the three held their heads close, as if to show the affection.
You always have to wonder why evangelicals have such an issue with homosexuality. In some cases it really does appear to be a case of protesting far too much.

Our local regional camera club holds spring workshops. At this workshop a local wildlife group brought in two wolves, a bear and a fox.
I captured a rare scene when this wolf approached his caretaker with a loving action. The action was reciprocated below with a blow into the mouth area of the wolf...a sign of affection and alpha superiority.
