Description: It is known that Baridinae are poorly studied and more information available would be necessary to properly make an article on them. Their biology also varies. Xystus sanguinicollis is such a case. Being a member of the order Coleoptera, suborder Polyphaga, infraorder Cucujiformia, superfamily Curculionoidea, family Curculionidae, subfamily Baridinae and tribe Madopterini, these beetles are very confusing. Some Baridinae feed on plants; others on fungi; decaying wood; larvae of insects. Some are also able to thrive in semi-aquatic habitats. The following articles on Insetologia and Biodiversidade de Teresópolis also suggest that they may feed on pollen! This is further suggested after seeing that many tribes of Baridinae are given the popular name of "flower weevils", such as Apostasimerini (en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Apostasimerini).

Dimesus (coleoptera-neotropical.org/paginas/3_familias/Cur-fotos/6...), Orissus (coleoptera-neotropical.org/paginas/3_familias/Cur-fotos/6...) and Ovanius (coleoptera-neotropical.org/paginas/3_familias/Cur-fotos/6...) are all reminiscent of Xystus sanguinicollis and are easily mistaken.
Xystus sanguinicollis display black elytra with striae, dark legs that might have distinctive lighter spots and a black head. The elytra are divided by a suture. They have a very short, yet robust body with a long rostrum; midway through it there are two antagonizing antennae made of a scape, funicles and a club connected, these being, more or less, dark-colored. The eyes are large, compound and do not stand out. Xystus sanguinicollis seem to present variations in coloring (this needs confirmation) and display a very strong reddish-orange / red pronotum. It measured approximately 5mm, but since my encounter with one was a long time ago, this might not be accurate. The rest of the body, including mesosternum, metasternum, metepimeron, metepisternum, mesepimeron, mesepisternum, postocular lobe, scrobe and the underside of the abdomen are all dark with occasional reddish-orange or brown parts that are slightly distinctive from the darker parts.
"Xystus (Schoenherr, 1826) (type-species Ceutorhynchus sanguinicollis (Germar, 1824-224), by original designation), has been overlooked by researchers. There is a complete description, and an available name is designated as type. It is a senior subjective synonym of Stegotes (Casey, 1922)." - academic.uprm.edu/~franz/WeevilCourseResources/OBrienWibm...
According to informations available, they are mainly found in Mexico and South America. This needs heavy confirmation.
There are no further informations available to me at the moment. If you know more, please tell me and I will credit you.

Long ago, the Imperial Aetheric Expeditionary Fleet made contact with their first (and so far only) intelligent non-human population. They were named "Venandi" by the ship's naturalist, who described them as "an uncommonly large and brutish race of vaguely man-like beasts, arranged in highly territorial matriarchal tribes." Nearly a century of oppression and exploitation followed before the Imperium declared the Venandi free and equal citizens, though even after several generations of trying it is still difficult for them to fully integrate into human society due to persistent prejudices and their significant biological differences - chief among them a lifespan that is only one fifth of the human average.
In the Goodfellow Cluster Venandi have always been free, as the FAE Council Charter demands a strict meritocracy, and most Venandi make up for the shortness of their lives with some combination of quick minds, clever hands and strong backs.
Seitte Tre is home to a significantly larger percentage of Venandi residents than most colonies in the Cluster, leading the local branch of Phayze Fructification, inc. to develop a mobile frame specifically suited to the preferences of their non-human pilots. The Wechuge features a Venandi-like sillhouette and boasts a spec-sheet comparable to PFi's very popular multi-purpose "Dweorh".

There are aliens in the Goodfellow Cluster!? I was surprised, too. ^^
I built a version of this frame that I was pretty happy with, put it on my shelf with the rest, and just sort of considered it every so often as I walked by. After a week or so, I decided that I hated it so I built v2 while staring at this: pin.it/JeLVhDQ, which got rebuilt, like, a thousand times both digitally and brickally. Honestly, I'm still not sure that I'm satisfied, but at some point you just have to cut these things loose.
Wechuge comes from a Native American myth regarding a cunning type of ogre-like creature that people turn into when they break taboos or become "too strong", which I think is an interesting reference to use for a frame meant for use by "beast men", as it's a friendly nod to their natural strength, but also kind of (unintentionally) racist at the same time. The social status of Venandi, even in the progressive meritocracy of the FAE, is complicated at best.

The Aether Interplanetary Space Station is the pinnacle of Legoland's scientific and technological development. Designed to compete with NASA's Lunar Gateway, it surpasses the latter and takes the concept of an interplanetary space station to the extreme, becoming one of the most ambitious engineering projects of all time. The Aether has an expandable modular design, 2 docking modules, a laboratory module, 3 living modules, and a control module to which a robotic telescopic arm is connected. The space station can accommodate 3 to 5 astronauts, and is equipped with the latest technologies in the aerospace field. The Aether is also equipped with a revolutionary ionization engine, more efficient and faster than normal rocket engines, plus numerous photovoltaic panels for power, a solar panel, and numerous telecommunications antennas on each frequency. The Aether is the strong point of the "Asgard" ecosystem, also consisting of capsules, landers and interplanetary probes, which sees Legoland take man to the Moon and Mars, before the USA.
The Imperial Aetheric Expeditionary Force fills a large percentage of their mechanized combat units with the four-legged Velites, however the bulk of their front-line ranks are filled by the bipedal Hastati, which are much cheaper to produce and easier to operate.
Though capable of serving in either Peditatus (ground) or Volantatus (flying) modes like the Veles, Hastati are distinct in that they are not equipped for use in the vacuum of space and require specialized transport vehicles to deliver them to the surface of any world on which they are required.

This was inspired in part by this Variable Glaug - www.macrossnewhorizon.org/mediawiki/index.php/Variable_Glaug - though to be fair, I had the beginnings of the idea before I found pics of that design. The feet are a bit fiddly, but after a little practice I've actually gotten pretty good at keeping it upright.
To be clear, I don't know any actual Latin beyond a few words I picked up from Wikipedia. "Peditatus" refers to a foot soldier, and "Voluntatus" is something I made up by fake-conjugating Volare ("to fly"). If you know any Latin, then please correct me. I like it.
Really. I do.
