Tombstone Arizona
Aurora Elgin & Fox River Electric Company 5 maintaining the road bed at South Elgin, Illinois on July 17, 1965, Kodachrome by Chuck Zeiler. Number 5 was built as as 45 ton model by GE in June 1946 ( c/n 28467 ) and was used to switch coal between the IC connection in Coleman and the state hospital in South Elgin, the only remaining customer on the railroad after passenger service was discontinued in 1935. After the coal service was discontinued in 1973, this locomotive was sold to Chicago Gravel Company as 511, but returned to home rails on the Fox River Trolley Museum in 2001.

este motor fue un verdadero cacho en Biotren ,nosé cuantas veces lo ví trabajando solo , pero si recuerdo haberlo visto muchas veces estacionado ,barado o accidentado ,ahí se ve con una puerta de entrecoche al medio , creo que fue cuando chocó con un pescante .
En fin fue el que mas tiempo agonizó trabajando al igual que el AM 21 , este AES lo arrastró la 1719 por varios meses

Picked this up yesterday at my favorite local camera shop. I shot for years with F-1s, EF, and T-90 before moving into EOS and then various digital cameras, but I never owned an AE-1. Go figure? I've actually been keeping my eye out for an original, non-Program AE-1, and this one was just too clean to pass up. Plus the price was too good!
