I'm not that adventerous to go down there

varun and me were doing a speed parade enroute chickballapur on the way back to bangalore, I saw this lake with the setting sun in the backdrop.

The concept i wanted to photograph was a sillohette of an adventerous guy "who makes his own road" kinds.

The best i could do is to use the sharp features of varun (so the head held high)

This is the entrance to the Torrent de Pareis which leads down to Sa Calabra. Walkers leave ther vehicles on the mountain road and trek into the Gorge and hope to catch the only bus back which is 3 pm. A couple with 2 children only just made the bus we were on as it was pulling out. However I guess these adventerous trekkers would think nothing of thumbing a lift back to the mountain road. Thats the view from the glass floor on the CN tower skydeck. This is one of the major attractions here. People who have been here would agree that it gets quite adventerous (to some) or creepy (to some) to walk on this floor. The picture above exactly portrays why it's adventerous. The worst thing that could happen on a bad day is the glass breaking and you know where you gonna end up next. oooooooooo. Thats the Not-So-Sure person in me talking! On the whole, it is a remarkable piece of engineering and architecture.

This shot during the trip to Inland Sea in Qatar...it a nice place and adventerous..

make me feel so adventerous. i always wanted to be a storm chaser. i guess they chase me anyhow.

My favorite room in the museum. What made this so adventerous was that I was the first one in this awesome room full of paintings, cripts, and other amazing artifacts. In fact, I was the first person to enter the museum this day. It really made the museum tour more interesting and spooky to be the first and only person to reach each first and that no one was there, not even monitor's! ..this section was by far the spookiest of them all..the skeleten riding the lion was supposedly part of a working clock from somewhere around the 17th century

Taken with disposable film camera. Vacation. Taken by a group of men who had no idea what film was while I was up there parasailing. It seems like that has been the first truely adventerous and wonderous thing I've done in many, many months

After playing with the mother cat, her kittens suddenly sprung out from their hiding place behind a huge wooden board, this kitten especially was the adventerous one and walked all over the place, even to a point of going under me and biting my shoe lace.

at this moment where it sat down I only had a few seconds to photograph it before it got up again, so I switched to live view and tried to capture it from a really low angle, I think the auto focus wasn't quick enough to get a pin-sharp image, but happy with the results...

Would photograph more of them if the workers there weren't giving me and my friend a weird look... good thing we got out of there safe~

Still unamed but we will decide tomorrow. Last call for suggestions?

Just as a reminder she is a very adventerous she who likes climbing up legs and chasing shoe laces and smelly trainers (will the world die out from something caught from a smelly trainer?)

I am a huge fan of Ellio's Pizza. Not in the way they intend I'm sure. I'm a fan of the mushy pizza-goo that comes with sticking a slice of this boxed treat in the microwave for 1 - 2 minutes. Its unevenly cooked, partially liquid and perhaps even a bit toxic - yet I love every single bite of it.

I was feeling adventerous a few nights ago and decided to see just what Ellio's Pizza would look like if I cooked it as intended. I preheated my toaster oven to 450 then threw a slice in for the required 12 minutes. Since 12 minutes is a long time to wait, especially when you're hungry, I threw a second slice in the microwave for 1 minute and 45 seconds.

While the slice in the toaster did look a bit more appetizing over the one from the microwave I don't feel that it was worth the extra 10 minute wait to cook. Not to mention I missed the combination of scalding hot/freezing cold mixture of pizza that the microwave provides.

Next up to try in the toaster - Pizza Rolls (gasp!!!)

This gorgeous building once housed the Home Economics program at my Mom's school in Centerville Arkansas. Once one of several buildings, it is the last standing, and it is still beautiful. There was a No Trespassing sign on the door, so we didn't adventure in. My Mom suggested that she might make a call to see if we could get inside sometime. I get my adventerous spirit from my Mom. She's the best!

My dear uncle Frank, great uncle to be precise. Not only has he housed me (garden space in tent included) but he still brings me a coffee where ever I am. He clearly knows me well. The routine of life with an 87 year old man ain't so bad! I hope I'm still considerate and adventerous as can be at his age!

We called her Indianna Jane because she is so adventerous!

My sweet little mousy Brittney I met through acting at the Grand Marais Playhouse has grown into a wonderful adventerous friend. :) I'm so proud of her.

all this week, when I was leaving home for work. I was surprised with this amazing flower, living in autumn in the garden. All days I've been regretting having this busy life that doesn't let me stop five minutes to take the picture.

Today it's bank holiday in my city and the first thing I've done is to take the picture of the adventerous flower that dares to look at the world in these rainy and cold days. It made me feel so good all these past days that I decided to apply some warm colour balancing to enhance the feelings it produced on me.

It's also a very special photograph for me as it will probably be the latest one I'll take with my DSLR, as the Nikon D70s is leaving home very soon. And I think this photograph also represents what my relationship with the camera has been for the past year and a half... a beautiful, but painful at times relationship. The camera went with me to the US West Coast, to London, to Paris, to Amsterdam, to the gay pride when marriage was approved in Spain... Apart for the pain that it produced in my back :-), I'll surely miss it. But, who knows, maybe in the not-so-far future I'll be embracing DSLRs again... (have I heard light D40 sounding in the air :-))))))

Dad got a fancy blended drink with his lunch. I had plum wine. He doesn't look very happy, does he? Well, he really isn't that adventerous of an eater.

Dedicated to Rita's wonderful, adventerous, fun loving, Ghost. Learned today the lump that was removed a week ago, is cancer.

Still just a pup, and full of puppy energy..............it is a hard day.

Ghost is the one that always came back to check on Grandma, when she would stop and take pix and lag behind. Soon here came Ghosty bounding back and checking me out.

Treatment will begin with prednizone and Zertec.

Eagle Falls under the stars...

Yes! those are stars in the sky!

We left the Bay Area at around 11PM arrived in South Lake Tahoe by about 3AM, I was tired but couldnt sleep. So what did we do? Take an adventerous hike under the moonlight to the bottom of Eagle Falls. I originally told Shirley this was going to be a short hike ~ 1-2 Miles. But being in the dark we hiked 4-5 miles by headlight, got lost, overshot our target, then couldnt see it, so we decided to turn around at some point and go back to where we last heard water and finally found this place.

Just a little tribute to my mom's adventerous spirit. (it still feels incomplete...I'll have to collect more bits from her recent travels and see what I can do to give it a bit more oomph!)

Archangel Raphael and Young Tobias

Veit Stoss (1447/48-1533)

Nuremberg, 1516

Limewood, monochromeds

The group is one of Veit Stoss' main works. It was commissioned by the Florentine silk and jewelry merchant Raffaele Torrigiani, whos work had occasionally taken him to Nuremberg. The scene depicted is drawn from the Old Testament Book of Tobit: While underway on an adventerous journey a young man is joined by an angel who proves to be his protector on a number of occasions. Supreme virtuosity is demonstrated by the complex, swirling folds and the delicate look of the hands. The drapery folds, the poise and the stance are aptly used ot distinguish between the heavenly and the earthly nature of the figures.

This limewood carving is one of the foremost works of Gothic sculpture from early 16th century Germany.
