About this past week, it has nearly been hell/the most amazing thing ot have happened to me.:)

Monday night worked school/worked till 9,Tuesday hung out with Kelly till late, Wed same as Mond, Thurs got home early 7.30pm (lol), Friday left to go for the most adventerous road trip of my life. Yes, even more adventerous than running away to Flordia, but equally amazing. I can't believe my life right now. It is finally the next Tuesday and I'm starting to catch up on life a little bit.

I promised myself I wouldn't cry when I typed this, but that isn't happening. My beloved kitty Bew(Bewford) passed away this past Thursday July 8, 2010. He was a stray when he came to our house. He was about a year old when he came around last May 2009. This top left hand corner is what he looked like then. That picture was taken the day I got my camera. This is really hard for me...

He started getting sick Tuesday July 6. My mom thought it was because of the heat. I last saw him alive that morning... for I had left for Cleveland and then decided to stay there and attend Warped Tour(not knowing what was happening). My mom found him under the neighbors porch on what I believe was Tuesday and he was really sick. He could barely walk. And he did not want to come out...(My mom said he was going away to die, because he knew..). He stayed in the basement that night because the back porch is too hot(he would generaly stay back there because of indoor cats being mean to him sometimes). My mom took him to the vet. on Thursday. At 2:42 PM Thursday my mom txted me saying this "Dominic...bewford is sick but you should stay there. Love you." My phone was off due to low battery and I turned it back on at 3:36 PM recieving another message that was sent at 3:03 PM saying... "Dominic call me on Dave(she meant Dan) phone" I knew what that mean... :'(.

Bewford died at the vet as far as I know. He suffered from Feline Lukemia. We never knew. He had it before he came around and when he had his vaccinations it was obviously too late. He may have even been born with it. We never knew where he came from. I believe he was a gift from God. No one ever came looking for him. He was always ours as far as I am concerned. I know alot of you enjoyed some of my pictures of him.. These are alot of them that I never posted. Two I did not take. I love this cat more than I can fully understand. We buried him in our backyard that night after I got home.

During the time that I was absent he layed in his coffin upon his favorite in the house. I love you Bewfey and miss you dearly. But you are in a better place now where you no longer will silently suffer. No one will ever replace a pet like you. I quote myself from my wrtiting on his coffin, "I love you Bewford. You were the best cat a person could ever hope for. No animal/person will EVER replace you. 'Nuff Said. Love, Dominic." He was the nicest cat I have ever known. He lived a great and adventerous life, full of love. And he always will be loved. I remember seeing you across the street just wandering around when you first showed up. And I will never forgot you Bewfey. You'll always be the one and only handsome devil of this family(smiles in my hear with the tears on face).

I just literaly heard a cat. It wasn't Sneakers and Mittens doesn't really meow. So it could have only been you. I looked outsode and no cat was there. I'm glad your spirit is still with us Bewfey. In this house and our hearts, you will always be. I love you now and always buddy. Physically with us from May 2009-July 8, 2010. Spiritually with us forever.

Today was a day of many first for me, my first Engagment Shoot and my first beach set. Kory & Christian wanted their shoot at La Jolla Beach in San Diego. I quickly realized the beach can be a rather difficult setting for a photoshoot. Some problems we ran into, VERY busy. There were TONS of people there for it being a thursday morning shoot, which made it difficult to find a secluded area to shoot that had nice scenery as well. Secondly, the wind was a MAJOR problem it knocked over my strobes quite a bit which usually happends but it also played Havoc on Christians hair which was a HUGE bummer for me because i lost a lot of great shots due to her hair being in her face =( aside from that it was also an adventerous day. If you've visted the beach before you know it has alot of clifs to which we climbed and hiked through to get to some pretty sweet spots which was alot of fun doing. but not so fun when your carrying almost 60 pounds of equipment but all in all a GREAT learning expirience and i was glad to share it with them both.

Feeling adventerous tonight went to Zeeland.

My Great Grandmother and my Grandmother (not the camels) on a trip to Egypt in 1914. They had to cut their trip short because of the outbreak of World War I. Must have been an interesting trip just getting there from the midwest. I don't know who shot this, but I'm sure it was not me.

Nursing school is in East Liberty, and so are a bunch of neat things to photograph. About a 10 min walk from the school is the church that the final scenes of Dogma were filmed. I talked a few friends into walking around with me. I may be adventerous, but I'm not stupid.

After the last model, I wanted the new cathedral to have windows with tracery. I had started another two buildings, before this one. One was to be based on Salisbury Cathedral, but I soon saw it was too adventerous, and that I needed to build something slightly smaller. Because of the winter floodings caused by the lake rising,I built a stump of a wall, and built this cathedral on the top of that.

Two peacocks face off in this shot as an experiment that I devised.

Bronx Zoo, one of the larger zoos of New York, houses a wide variety of wildlife, mostly in cages and enclosures. These peacocks, on the other hand dictate where they want to go.

Their freedom eventually ends up in their wandering around the food stalls, looking for a tidbit of food here and there. Some of the more adventerous ones actually demand food (Not really, but would you really refuse food to a beautiful peacock?)

As soon as I started having my rather unhealthy lunch, a horde of these peacocks came around the lunch tables set up there searching for food. That seemed like the right time to get these shots even.

A couple of these shots enabled me to get a face/off representation.

Lessons for Love:

A wise lover will take note in the way his quarry prefers their java and adjusts his approach accordingly. This lesson goes way beyond the simplisticly crude adaptation of wether she prefers it light -n-sweet or big-n-black.

No, the wise lover shall note the following.

The espresso drinker: strong yet earthy. set in her ways and ready to conquer the world. She awaits her king to rule by her side

The capucinno drinker: fancies herself as an ambitious intellectual, who enjoys a challenge yet has a flirtatious and adventerous side. She waits for a princely companion.

The regular cuppa joe: this is your regular working class lady. Strong in her own right and ready to share all the ups and downs with you. She'll want you to watch chick flicks with her so be wary. She awaits a knight in shining armor to rescue her from everyday life. A prime target indeed.

Finally, we have the frapacinno drinker: This a sweet, fun, free spirited soul who loves an adventure and being spontenious. You never know where a lady like this will take you. She awaits a soul mate!!

I took this photo of my favorite adventure less than a week after I acquired my first DSLR, back when I knew hardly anything about photography. Surprisingly, it turned out really well from a technical standpoint. Everything is properly exposed, and nothing is too light or too dark. For as nicely as it turned out, I'm surprised it's taken this long to post on Flickr.

So I guess life is like a game of chess. You need to plan your moves well ahead of scedule. You need to be strategic and clever and think about what you want to acheive and how you are going to acheive it. You have your Queen which you think you will never lose and then all of a sudden she is gone. You have pieces like your Rook or Knight who you get dangerous and adventerous with, until they are taken from you. Then you realise that your priorities were all wrong and that the game you thought you were winning hands down, now looks like a lost battle. So what do you do you when you realise that you got blinkered, and instead of consulting your Generals and planning your attack, you went off on a tangent and did what you thought was right, when your Bishops and Pawns are screaming at you to sort the mess out but you ignore them and carry on losing, even thinking that you can turn the game around and still win. What do you do?

Do you just knock your King over and call it quits?

Or do you set the board back up and play again?

I have a lot of thinking to do I guess.

I will leave you with this song, it sums up my relationship with my soul mate. Debs.

Biffy Clyro ~ Mountains

I took a bite out of a mountain range, thought my teeth would break the mountain down.

Lets go, I want to go all the way to the horizon.

I took a drink out of the ocean and I'm treading water there before I drown.

Lets dive, I want to dive to the bottom of the ocean.

I took a ride, I took a ride, I wouldn't go there without you.

Lets take a ride, we'll take a ride. I wouldn't leave here without you.

I am a mountain, I am the sea, you can't take that away from me.

I am a mountain, I am the sea, you can't take that away from me.

'Cause you tear us apart, with all the things you don't like.

You can't understand that I won't leave 'til we're finished here, and then you'll find out where it all went wrong.

I wrote a note to the jungle and it wrote me back that I was never crowned king of the jungle, so there's and end to my horizon.

I took a ride, I took a ride. I wouldn't go there without you.

Lets take a ride, we'll take a ride. I wouldn't leave here without you.

I am a mountain, I am the sea, you can't take that away from me.

I am a mountain, I am the sea.

'Cause you tear us apart, with all the things you don't like.

You can't understand that I won't leave 'til we're finished here, and then you'll find out where it all went wrong.

Nothing lasts forever, except you and me. (You are my mountain, you are my sea)

Love will last forever, between you and me.(You are my mountain, you are my sea)

I am a mountain, I am the sea, you can't take that away from me.

I am a mountain, I am the sea.

I am a mountain, I am the sea

My homie Bryce, representin'. The mayor of orange Cove, California, decided to name their new skatepark after Paul Rodriguez, AKA P-Rod. Guess they gotta name it after somebody. Too bad it wasn't Sprite C! If it was, after the announcement, Bryce would calmy walk up to the mic and say, "You got served!"

I had a great time with this High School Senior Downtown Tacoma right on the water. She was shy, adventerous, and full of life. She kept saying how she felt "nervous" infront of the camera,so I turned my phones music player on, she picked a station and off she went smiling. You could never tell she was shy. There isn't a trace of fear in her. She was simply lovely.
