Second World War Royal Naval Ammunition Depot (RNAD) at Kilnappy, County Londonderry. The extensive site was used for ammunition storage until the 1960s and remained as a military site until the 1990s.

Admin Dave of Dave's Place. This is the first photo my daughter took when she was 3 years old. I thought it was only appropriate that I use it as the identifying pic.

Taken with a new Canon 5D MII and old 24mmTS-E lens. I like how I can set the 5D to black and white mode and record a BW JPG as well as a RAW (which is, of course in color.) On my LCD is B&W. Love having that capability!

Color gets in the way when I am shooting so being able to set the camera to B&W helps me focus on composition.

Runwell Hospital was operated by South Essex Partnership University NHS Foundation Trust until its final closure on 23rd April 2010. From February 2008 until its closure, Runwell Hospital provided solely forensic mental health services in line with the trusts reprovision programme. The planned closure of the current Runwell Hospital, has lead to some services being reprovided at Rochford Hospital.

After being raised in 1971, the Ulster Defence Regiment was a locally recruited Regiment of the British Army. The largest of the Battalions, 5 UDR covered the Counties of Londonderry and Antrim. Requiring a permanent home, E Company 5 UDR purchased Laurel Hill House in Coleraine for this purpose. Having being used by the US Army briefly during WW2, the 1843 built house and estate had major works completed to bring it to the required specification for an operational unit. The UDR was reformed into the Home Service Battalions of the Royal Irish Regiment in 1992 and eventually disbanded in 2007. At the end of its operational life, Laurel Hill Camp was home to the north coast adventure training centre.

The house and land were sold in 2012. These photographs were taken in 2017.
