I first followed the tutorial of PIXIMPERFECT www.youtube.com/watch?v=xFxylWAAFSM
For the double exposure technique and used his picture material.
I learned I was the clumsiest human on earth and I kept deleting or modifying things without saving my progress and having to redo some steps repeatedly. The pleasing thing is by doing repetition, you actually memorize everything better. I also learn that the TAB button places everything full screen in photoshop and hides all your panels and because somehow I didn't know I panic a bit.
I typically work by intuition and handle everything until I get a result, this is why following a tutorial in stages was more painful lol. But was able to complete the task and was quite proud of the result.
I enjoy the project, but the result was at the end almost a copy conform from the tutorial, and I wanted to deconstruct it and produce something distinctive. Here is the result, a special Admin award for my Flickr group.

... a very strange feeling, as this week's challenge is asking me to do what I do every week ... show what I have shot against a size guide! I've got an album of over 300 shots ... and I've put one, as usual, in the first comment field!
When the debate was first raised (some years ago) I liked the idea of using an old credit card as my guide. It is 3" x2" in size ... and has worked really well to keep my focused on the 3" rule for MM. It is such a good idea to define what we mean by 'macro' and the 3" rule (if followed) is an excellent one! Yes, I have seen an entire banana offered and accepted as 'macro' in another group. And it makes me groan when something like that happens! So well done MM admins for doing this topic .... 😊

Nottingham Castle is one of the most iconic buildings in Nottinghamshire and across the world, linked of course with the Legend of Robin Hood.
On a recent visit I decided to walk the perimeter wall (not literally) and take some shots of the views of the famous City of Nottingham.
It's a vibrant, evolving city/county, more noticable close the the castle is the new face of the Broadmarsh Centre (not complete yet).

looked out the caravan window this morning and this parakeet was on one of our nut feeders so just had to get a few photos of it and as you can see the sun was shining nice and bright at 7 am just a shame it was so cold so could not lay out in the sun

Hey everyone! The crack of the morning, I have a little something to share with you. Minimalism is what it is. Consisting of dull colour tones, little no vibrancy other than the golden accents which highlight the soft silky cushion, connecting with the French door handles, and accented finishes on the industrial iron cabinetry, a very smooth and delicious pallet of browns, beige's, gunmetal blacks, leather, silk, duke woven poufs, small knick-knacks that aren't compulsory but show's that you can have minimal clutter which still looks effective, without going over the top. So the build itself is set in a European setting, with a mix of Retro, meets industrial modern.

I simply wanted to thank all the Flickr Admins out there for all of their time and energy, so that we might post our images and enjoy the fruits of their labor. Many are my friends, many I have never met but have appreciated their services. All volunteer their time, and many spend several hours a day making sure things run well for the groups they have volunteered to help keep alive and well. My hat is off to you. A big hug and thanks to you ALL!
The walk to the ruins was very muddy overgrown path with quite a steep incline. It was once an impressive palatial medieval manor house. 'Wingfield Manor' is Grade I Listed and under the care of English Heritage since 1960. It has been deserted since the 1770s. There is a working farm that forms part of the old manor. Located in South Wingfield, Derbyshire and viewing is only available through pre-booked guided tours.

Hello everyone!
Disclaimer: The store itself is quite large, so due to these images, I've downsized for the photos, but the store itself and concept remains the same,
I have just created a miniature version of it. Also, the clothing on the racks aren't from the actual store, it's just so my client and the viewers can see how the two correspond with each other. (Store is still under construction)
A tour through a modern and dreamy fragrant main store, Black Swan. Crisp, and long throughout, with its ceiling high off white plaster walls, marble accents, and quartz stone flooring. Simplicity and Sophistication, the Marsden fabric and velvet cushioning chairs which bring an aroma of chic and glam. Rough Jade stone counters, appealing a French revamp to a flashback the 1920s to early 2000s.
A pallet of pinks, beige's, pastels, light and airy, with a minimal floor-plan.
Note; I think what's quite tricky with this project is the space itself, it's a
two stories retail complex, really large, so large that I had to discuss with my
client about putting in petition walls and blocking the 2nd story and the back of
the store, and leaving the front as it's still fairly large. Another thing which doesn't
really help is the minimal style for such a large build, it truly makes the store look empty,
so we're still figuring out ways to 'close' it in more, while still having enough room for merchandise.
