Lightgrams are an example of slow speed photography in which the shutter is kept open for a long time in a dark room to capture dim lights. These were created by hanging an LED from a thread from the ceiling to a height of about 4 ft from floor, while keeping the camera facing upwards on the floor underneath the LED. The LED is swung in erratic paths, and thanks to gravity and simple harmonic motion, these patterns are created. The different colors were caught by placing a colored transparent sheet over the lens, and changing colors intermittently.
I tried making a version of this wallpaper using lighter colours but I couldn’t make up my mind about which colour would go best. So I decided to go with the dark colour version of it (as usual…). For some reason I just love dark wallpapers.

A blue and white digital art geometric pattern I created in Photoshop. I love the blue white color contrast, and particularly love this pattern on a Throw Pillow and some of our other products.
This pattern could also be multiplied to make a large bright wall mural.

I have to say that for the last few days I've been focusing a bit more on my design work, which is great because I've been meaning to get back to my design work but haven't had the time to. Now I'm making it my priority. So here is my design for this week.

Here is my pattern design for this week. I've been looking at different versions of this pattern for months now and I think this is how I like this pattern the best.

There is a tension in deciding what to choose from the real landscape and what to say about it. (Marion Bryant)
“Simply look with perceptive eyes at the world about you, and trust to your own reactions and convictions. Ask yourself: “Does this subject move me to feel, think and dream? Can I visualize a print – my own personal statement of what I feel and want to convey – from the subject before me?” – Ansel Adams
This is just a cool shot. I was cleaning up from where I had been working on my last oil painting. This is the newspaper where I cleaned excess paint off my brush and tested colors. With the "brain" in the background, it came out looking really neat. I just had to shoot it and share with my Flickr family!
