I can't think of a title for this one. Another 2 exposure ICM and faster shutter shot to include some detail blended in photoshop. The 2 exposures could not be lined up because the ICM created wider trunks but I think I kind of like the effect this has created. I shot this from a fire tower that is at the peak of a hill at Sessions Woods that is roughly 3 stories high and looks down over the forest. There are views of several mountains in as many different towns but strangely I felt that scene was a bit boring so I started dabbling with the ICM because I loved the pastel colors around the patch of Birch trees.

Sorry I have not been on in several days. I caught the flu from hubby. This is the first time I have caught the flu or cold in 2 + years (I think more like 3) but he just coughed for days so I guess it was inevitable. It has knocked me on my backside and ugh, everything ached and I felt like someone sucked up all my energy with a commercial size energy vacuum LOL. I think I am finally on the mend but my house looks like a war zone so I have to get caught up on the home front.

The Kaligandaki river just exudes its majestic charm and beauty in whichever direction it meanders, the sand and sediments just sparkle and glitter under the sun. ...the mountains just stand in awe of it....we trekked for days and it's still there....no beginning and no ending...

Another shot from this years winter lights festival in the docklands area of London!

Embracing abstract expressionism, painting with light using reflected patterns on water (trees, clouds, sky)

A heap of thick, interlocked iron chains, once used for anchoring or heavy lifting along the waterfront. Now heavily rusted and fused by time, they embody the grit and decay of industrial heritage, their rough surfaces glowing with deep brown and orange oxidation.

The photographer Minor White said, “One should not only photograph things for what they are but for what else they are.”

On the most literal level this photograph shows part of an old, hollow, burned and battered tree trunk. But on another level it is a semi-abstract depiction of textures, patterns, colours, and the play of light that invites viewers to give rein to their imaginations and ponder their emotional responses to what they see in the image.

A view of the shard through the retail area near Tower Bridge

The interplay of old and new is captured as Gothic church spires reflect against a modern glass facade. This image explores the contrast between historical architecture and contemporary design, evoking a sense of timelessness.

In a world of speed and precision, one photographer finds stillness in the geometry of the scene. The sleek lines of the Porsche Museum intertwine with the silent observer, capturing a moment where architecture and artistry collide. A stairway becomes a stage, a lens a gateway—perspective is everything.

the sun played tricks here, casting its lines and shadows on concrete curves. two figures walked the edge, like tightrope walkers on the ground, framed by geometry and reflections in the still water. this is valencia, bold and modern, yet soft and timeless, where light meets structure, and the day whispers its stories.

A close-up of the complex patterns in the bark of a mature spruce tree.

A white owl flies gracefully through a forest of stylized blue and black trees. The scene has a serene, wintry ambiance with abstract shapes and patterns enhancing the depth.

A semi-abstract illustration of a field of red poppies.

This is one of the winter light shows at Canary Wharf in the docklands area of London these trees keeps on changing colours!

A pair of blue birds soar through a stylised forest of tall, vertical trees with abstract bark patterns. The vibrant green and grey tones create a lively, modern aesthetic.

Abstract composition centered on a broken window in an old barn undergoing renovation. Emphasis on textures, colors, and patterns.

Better run away from that avalanche of furniture.
