This is the short story of a peculiar little green amphibian that dreamed of fly/ing.
A frog that decided to take a journey to see what was in/side the fishbowl, what might be out/side of it and, to find that which might be in between.
Now, you can turn the page when you hear the sound of water drops drip drop dripping...

An interior photo from the recent grand opening of the Wilkinson Eyre designed Battersea Power Station redevelopment. Here I'm looking up at the structure inserted to support one of the large windows in the end wall.
Having watched it being redeveloped for years it was great to finally explore inside the iconic building.

From Wikipedia, "Works were completed and the power station was due to open on 14 October 2022, with 254 flats, restaurants, bars, offices and shops. The 42-acre site also contains distinctive apartment blocks designed by US architect Frank Gehry and a large structure designed by Foster + Partners. The first residents had moved in in May 2021.
It was criticised as "a playground for the super rich", with very expensive housing and luxury shops; at the time the project was approved policy required 50% of new housing to be "affordable". Wandsworth council accepted a plan with 15%, but ultimately 9% was built on the site."

A 1965 Farmobil with owner Willy Wiley at the wheel, cruising past a bunch of its BMW cousins. Developed by Germany's Fahr company the Farmobil was built by Peter Kondorgouris' Farco company in Thessaloniki (Greece); this had been purchased by Chrysler by the time this car was built. The Farmobil was sold as a BMW in Germany and a few other countries, as a Steyr in Austria and Switzerland, and as a Chrysler product (through Simca in France) after the Farco takeover. Only about 1000 of these little agricultural vehicles were built between 1962 and 1966.
On a walk in the Botanic Gardens September 13, 2015 Christchurch New Zealand.
Founded in 1863 with the planting of an English oak tree, the Christchurch Botanic Gardens have grown from small beginnings to become a much-loved destination for Cantabrians and visitors alike. Over the years natural wetlands and sand dunes have been transformed into an elegantly cultivated 30 hectare park with more than 10 different gardens framed by mature trees and expansive lawns, which are mostly contained within a loop of the Avon River.

A tiny Earth Day beauty along the riverfront at Blakeley, yesterday...
It didn't seem so much like Earth Day this year, with the local observances and celebrations cancelled for the first time in 50 years...so it had to be individually observed!

Although humans are frequently on the move, searching for a suitable place to pause is an elementary part of life. Without taking a rest, there will be no energy to move. Still, finding a home appears to be an extraordinary challenge.
On this journey, appearances often are deceptive. As many inviting places crossing the way, they try to attract with cozy, familiar, and inviting words. Yet, these promising prospects cannot keep the tempting pledges they make. Spending some time in it offers the opportunity to take a closer look, ask questions, and evaluate on a more profound level.
Accordingly, one needs to start looking for finding a home again. There is nothing left to do in this search except repeatedly trying out a new setting. Eventually, there will be the right moment that offers to find a permanently suitable place one can call home.

Koron también vino con nosotras y fue muy divertido ponerla a posar, menos mal que nadie nos dijo nada, porque la pusimos por todos los rincones, pero como es tan pequeñita, yo creo que nadie se percató, o ¿sí...?

"Heart beats fast
Colors and promises
How to be brave?
How can I love when I'm afraid to fall?
But watching you stand alone,
All of my doubt suddenly goes away somehow.
One step closer
I have died every day waiting for you
Darling, don't be afraid I have loved you
For a thousand years
I'll love you for a thousand more"
This intriguing observation from the NASA/ESA Hubble Space Telescope shows a gravitationally lensed galaxy with the long-winded identification SGAS J143845+145407. Gravitational lensing has resulted in a mirror image of the galaxy near the center of this image, creating a captivating centerpiece. A third distorted image of the galaxy appears as a bridge between them.
Gravitational lensing occurs when the mass of an enormous celestial body – such as a galaxy cluster – curves spacetime and causes the path of light from distant objects to visibly bend around it, as if by a lens. Appropriately, the body causing the light to curve is called a gravitational lens, and the distorted background object is referred to as being "lensed.” Gravitational lensing can result in multiple images of the original galaxy, as seen in this image, or in the background object appearing as a distorted arc or even a ring. Another important consequence of this lensing distortion is magnification, allowing astronomers to observe objects that would otherwise be too far away or be too faint to see.
Hubble has a special flair for detecting lensed galaxies. The telescope's sensitivity and crystal-clear vision let it see faint and distant gravitational lenses that ground-based telescopes cannot detect because of the blurring effect of Earth's atmosphere. Hubble was the first telescope to resolve details within lensed images of galaxies and is capable of imaging both their shape and internal structure.
This particular lensed galaxy is from a set of Hubble observations that take advantage of gravitational lensing to peer inside galaxies in the early universe. The lensing reveals details that allow astronomers to better understand star formation in early galaxies, which gives scientists insight into how the overall evolution of galaxies unfolded.

Poem.
Amazing at sunrise.
Golden at sunset.
Plockton Bay, secluded by encircling hills
and a sea-wall headland
is a sheltered sanctuary,
a calm enclave,
a peaceful peninsula.
As if designed for mooring yachts
from the Atlantic swell,
this hidden jewel abounds in
boat-trips, wildlife, sunken ships,
mountainous vistas and “maerl” coral beaches.
Views from the shore, the sea, the hills
and the village are varied and mercurial.
Unpretentious, largely uncommercialised
this village requires no more than being there.
Being there is enough to satisfy the soul………..
abundantly!

Sometimes, colors are not refreshing; they can be deadly. Just like they alter your perception of reality, they can actually taint it.
The pink you see here is not a result of some striking natural phenomenon, but bears a small testimony of what we are doing to nature. The toxic chemicals leach off the nearby tannery and diffuses into this fresh water pond. There is a slum which remains constantly flooded with this toxic water.

When I was in Northwood, ND for a few days helping my daughter I took two of my grandchildren for lunch and a long afternoon walk. We stopped and visited a lady with a beautiful flower bed. Next week Jenny will have her eighth chemo treatment which will put two-thirds of the treatments behind her. Each treatment is becoming more of a struggle to rebound but she doesn't have any choice, she needs to finish all twelve which will be in the middle of September. These flowers are for Jenny.
This was a really tough picture to take, mostly the people using the elevator lol, would have looked better if I had a wide angle lens, but I did my best. This past weekend after getting hit by a big snow storm, I decided to do a winter photo shoot in central park with a friend of mine from college. Before going there I decided to take an interior shot of this awesome looking building (apple retail store-fifth ave). I took this pic while being inside the elevator and placing my camera on the ground, people didn't mind, so I kept trying till I got this pic hahaha. I will continue to post the winter pics as I work on them, gona take some time, so many of them : p . Once again I want to thank everyone for the wonderful and encouraging comments, wish you all a great week! : D
