Here are some photos taken at Tenma in Osaka, this was the second time to shoot around there, so I had to think about something different from the previous shooting, especially for the stairs. That's why this time we tried to use some bubbles to change the mood!

By the way, I'm trying to think of a title for this photo, so any suggestion is welcome! ;)

Daily Photo - A Rocky Morning

One morning when I crawled out of my tent in Argentina, a dense cloud was just rolling through. I got out to explore a bit, and the cloud quickly blew away to reveal an amazing landscape.

I had planned just to take a few shots and then go back to the camp and make some breakfast. But then, I saw something interesting just around the other side of the rocks. And then, I got over there and saw something else that might be interesting. And it was. And then I saw something even further away...

Bonus Stuff For You

I have several sections of the website with miscellaneous stuff that has built up over the years. I give out recommendations all the time on books, music, apps, etc etc. Some of this stuff needs an update, but some stuff is pretty fresh!

a little leg for those who like them.

I don't normally wear skirts and a blouse on account of never having one that works with the other. I much prefer a dress.

However things might be about to change I seem to be getting the hang of matching tops to skirts.

A kiss between two lovers whilst the sun sets in the background.

This is a photo which resembles the paintings created by Jörg Schemman.

In Jörg Schemmann’s landscape paintings, one can not see the horizon. His large paintings of pine forests are dominated by a light of high contrast, which creates depth. His images resemble photographs from a distance, but are in fact pure and uninhibited paintings that have little to do with reality.

Tom Waits - Broken Bicycles

It's a poorly exposed black and white pictures with a lot of artefacts. But it is one of the pictures of the first film that I have developed myself. Perhaps I am going to play around with it in Photoshop, maybe not. (There's no digital processing until now)

Anyway, developing is some fun. I will now test many different cameras with b&w films, I have 3 analogue cameras at home.

This pictures was taken by some old russian camera that my dad bought on a russian market for like 5 euros or so.

Next camera will be my dad's old exa. So every now and again I may upload a self developed :-)

Talking about focus, that old russian cam i used here was do SLR. so focussing was quite tricky cause i had to guess the distance and set it up at the cam.

A friend of my dad gave me his old equipment. The chemicals are more than 20 years old and yet they were working quite well.

A fuller piccie of my shopping outfit,XXX(Please comment if you fave)

Taken on a lunchtime wander around Christchurch Park in Ipswich town centre.

Typically, the day that I had freed up my lunchtime to take my camera to work turned out to be grey, dull and uninspiring! But...I'm learning to work with the conditions, rather than fight against them!

This was taken using my 50mm and the Raynox DCR250 macro attachment. On a brighter day I would have stopped down to f/8, or maybe further to maximise depth of field, but as it is I used f/2.8 to keep the shot sharp (f/2.8 is where this lens really starts to shine) and to maximise light and an ISO of 400 as I wanted to keep as much detail as possible as I knew I may want to crop in a little. As it happens, this is probably about a 50% crop.

Thanks for taking the time to visit. Any comments or faves are appreciated

What a view the start of this day had! Since then and with the start of the new year, I've reflected on the wonderful life I've had, seeing so many beautiful national parks and places in the US and around the world. I've had a blessed life, no doubt. One thing I wanted to share with this being a new year is a desire to share every start of every day with another. If you can't do that, than enjoy it at some place special...with a view that moves the soul!

It started all with a rainy Sunday: I remembered a winter forest image from Sandra Bartocha, which I saw a while ago in a landscape photography book - flic.kr/p/7vPHHa

I like her image a lot, because it has for me some positive vibes on one hand and on the ohter a mystical/magical touch.

Our snow situation in my area of Germany is almost non existant and

I believe to achieve this kind of image only by photography, the conditions must be really special. So I asked myself if I could create a similar mood with Photoshop and with one of my older snow images.

FFF+ Snap Happy is a group Lisa (our wonderful FFF+ leader) created for the FFF+ for images that reflect positivity, happiness, joy and beauty only. This must also be reflected in any titles, captions and comments.

Raindrops on the Jade plant on a drizzly morning.

There was a time when things were simple; Family, friends, home and the place we plant and grow. For me growing up in the country felt like a sheltered place and I am reminded of this wonderful past every time I cross paths with a beautiful barn.

Well, it has been a little over a year since I was "re-introduced" to flickr and began to explore the world through photography. If it weren't for all of you and the daily inspiration I would probably still be playing the x-box...thanks for showing me better toys.

No PS at all, but I have to say I used a friends camera (some new fang-dangle one that does "fabulous stuff!!") with a filter and this was the result.

Even though I hate SP's I quite like how "the camera" made me look;-) Mind you this was one of about 12!!

Daddy Tree, Mummy Tree, Daughter Tree and Son Tree disappearing over the horizon!

In botany, a tree is a perennial plant with an elongated stem, or trunk, supporting branches and leaves in most species. In some usages, the definition of a tree may be narrower, including only woody plants with secondary growth, plants that are usable as lumber or plants above a specified height. Trees are not a taxonomic group but include a variety of plant species that have independently evolved a woody trunk and branches as a way to tower above other plants to compete for sunlight. Trees tend to be long-lived, some reaching several thousand years old. In wider definitions, the taller palms, tree ferns, bananas, and bamboos are also trees. Trees have been in existence for 370 million years. It is estimated that there are just over 3 trillion mature trees in the world.

A tree typically has many secondary branches supported clear of the ground by the trunk. This trunk typically contains woody tissue for strength, and vascular tissue to carry materials from one part of the tree to another. For most trees it is surrounded by a layer of bark which serves as a protective barrier. Below the ground, the roots branch and spread out widely; they serve to anchor the tree and extract moisture and nutrients from the soil. Above ground, the branches divide into smaller branches and shoots. The shoots typically bear leaves, which capture light energy and convert it into sugars by photosynthesis, providing the food for the tree's growth and development.

Trees usually reproduce using seeds. Flowers and fruit may be present, but some trees, such as conifers, instead have pollen cones and seed cones. Palms, bananas, and bamboos also produce seeds, but tree ferns produce spores instead.

Trees play a significant role in reducing erosion and moderating the climate. They remove carbon dioxide from the atmosphere and store large quantities of carbon in their tissues. Trees and forests provide a habitat for many species of animals and plants. Tropical rainforests are among the most biodiverse habitats in the world. Trees provide shade and shelter, timber for construction, fuel for cooking and heating, and fruit for food as well as having many other uses. In parts of the world, forests are shrinking as trees are cleared to increase the amount of land available for agriculture. Because of their longevity and usefulness, trees have always been revered, with sacred groves in various cultures, and they play a role in many of the world's mythologies.

Yes this is an old one that was posted before. But this morning I received great news that my photo won the WWF Happy End! contest held at Dutch photo community site ZOOM. I completely forgot about my participation because I just didn't expect anything positive rolling out of it, lol :)

Anyways, they said I've won a workshop with workshop with well known photographer Peter de Ruiter. Peter de Ruiter is a known Dutch photographer, traveller and writer of several articles and books about digital photography, countries & cultures and human rights.

As time passes by I almost forgot one of the nicest shots I made during my vacation in the Ardennes - Belgium - just a couple weeks ago. Fortunately I found this one of a beautiful spot I found somewhere in the Ourthe valley and decided to do some old-fashion post-processing.

This 69 seconds shot was taken with a D300 and Tokina 12-24mm lens at 12mm with the B+W 110 ND attached. Standing in the middle of the river with my old rugged Manfrotto 190B tripod and a remote shutter control.

Ps. Still have 36 pages with 636 new contacts waiting to be added. For those new contacts I'd like to say that I'm going to dig through your streams as soon as I can. Sadly I've had less time for Flickr of late, hopefully I'll get back into the swing of it soon and pay more attention to your works. Just keep up the great work...

A little magic, creativity, smoke and mirrors, ....... and a space is transformed for a special night for a few privileged guests. After a 10 hour setup, the room was ready for the guests to flood the room and celebrate! At about 3AM, the rig was down, the decor loaded out, and the ballroom was clear and reset to normal. Just another Saturday in the event world.
