Watching me from across the room
Like all the other guys
Hopin' that I'm gonna wait for you
But my heart is cold as ice
Baby, baby, I wanna drive you crazy
I'll leave you, high and dry
Come, go ahead and try
Baby, you'll never be my type
One thing you'll get tonight
Is just a little kiss goodbye, mwah
Come, go and waste your time
Baby, I'll never change my mind
One thing you'll get tonight
Is just a little, mwah, mwah, goodbye
Lose your mind when you get one taste
You'll be begging me to stay
Nothing will ever feel the same
Always gotta lie on my name
Baby, baby, I wanna drive you crazy
I'll leave you, high and dry
Come, go ahead and try
Baby, you'll never be my type
One thing you'll get tonight
Is just a little kiss goodbye, mwah
Come, go and waste your time
Baby, I'll never change my mind
One thing you'll get tonight

A special celebration of the national day in this pandemic moment. To prevent mass gathering of the fireworks display in a prime venue, the authority had fixed the firework celebrations in various locations at the neighbourhood over the country.

🎶 GRACE VANDERWAAL - A BETTER LIFE
Just close your eyes
And create yourself a better life
Let the wind blow through your hair
Let the music take you there
And make a better life, a better life, life
So close your eyes
And create yourself a better life
Let the wind blow through your hair
Let the music take you there
And make a better life
A better life
Maybe this time
Things will turn out right
Point Betsie Lighthouse
I have wanted a winter shoot at this lighthouse for a long time now. Finally thanks to our friends John and Carla who generously shared their up north cabin with us, I was able to get over to this site in the winter. Even the weather cooperated beyond all expectations. I will try not to exhaust my contacts with endless variations of this wonderful day...although it is tempting...:-)))
Thank you so much for your visit!

A Whinchat fighting against the wind (female) ♡ Un Tarier des prés luttant contre le vent
◇
◇
This week I returned to the Audubon March expecting to see the Kingfisher. He didn't show up but I saw a Whinchat couple probably the last ones to migrate because all the others left south.
The Green heron is a small solitary heron that lives along shaded riverbanks or quiet streams in areas of dense vegetation. It is often somewhat secretive but is sometimes to be seen crying "kyow" while flying up a creek. When in the open, it will often flick its short tail nervously, while raising and lowering its crest. The "green" of its back is an iridescence, and often appears as a dull blue or just dark.
Although they are quite common, Green herons are shy and so are not often observed. Their active period is during the day and they nest within their feeding areas. To catch fish they either stand in the water or perch low above the water, watching for prey, or they track it down. Occasionally they will swim after prey. They will retract their neck, holding their bill downwards aiming at a fish, take a few cautious steps and stab their prey with their bill. They feed either alone or as a pair. When threatened, alarmed or aggressive, Green herons raise their crest, hold their neck still and flutter their tail. They are territorial and do not tolerate intrusions. They attack intruders on sight, flying towards them, making a loud and guttural repetitive "annnck-annnnck". This call is also repeated as an alarm.
The Green heron uses tools, being one of the few bird species to do so. It drops objects such as bread crusts, twigs, insects, earthworms, and feathers on the water’s surface to attract small fish.
I found this one along Peavine Road in Osceola County, Florida.
Always a fabulous sight even when climbing up Cul Mor on a dank and dirty day. Every cloud and all that.

Hello my amazing Flickr friends !
Today is a blue day at Color my World Daily and the theme at Looking close on Friday is: a single berry or cherry. As you can see I chose a raspberry. And since it is very difficult to photograph its own hand, I asked Mr. Severed Hand … well to give me a hand with this picture. I don’t know for you, but when I was a kid, I ate my raspberries like this. I always start to put them on my fingers and then I had raspberries fingers. Of course, my mother wasn’t a fan of this kind of manners, but I’m sure she was eating her raspberries exactly like me when she was younger. Today, my sons love to play raspberries fingers each time we have raspberries… and juste like my Mom did: I’m not approving any playing with food at my table.
Have a beautiful day !! Mucho, mucho amor for you all !!
Thank you so much for all your lovely comments / favs/ general support / happy thoughts!! Stay safe and well!!

The flame skimmer or firecracker skimmer (Libellula saturata) is a common dragonfly of the family Libellulidae, native to western North America.
Male flame skimmers are known for their entirely red or dark orange body, this includes eyes, legs, and even wing veins. Females are usually a medium or darker brown with some thin, yellow markings. This particular type of skimmer varies in size but is generally measured somewhere between two and three inches long. These naiads are known for being rather large and chubby-looking due to their rounded abdomen. They are covered with hair but, unlike most young dragonflies, they lack hooks or spines.

After a respectable climb of about 300 m ((984 ft) in altitude, you find a vast panorama at the Montagne de Cras. An orientation table describes the place. The whole village of Pierreclos is at our feet, dominated by its castle. In the distance on the left, you can clearly see the very recognizable silhouette of the Roche de Vergisson.
