A pair of Cinnamon teals on a misty morn at Merced National Wildlife Refuge, California, USA.

A long exposure taken at sunset at one of the most frequented summertime spots from my childhood growing up in Hood River, Oregon. If you look closely, you can see the lights of Timberline Lodge coming on on the side of the mountain.

A pair of pristine Manufacturers Railway switchers cross a large bridge across the highway. As I was driving I could see these guys in the distance so I pulled over on the highway to grab this shot. I didn't remember until I scanned this shot that you can see part of the St Louis Arch in the background behind the trestle. April 1984

A very cute jumping spider it was. The front pair of legs stays up most of the time and yes, it gave me a hard time to get one good snap. It just kept moving all the time. A big thanks to Towhid for spotting this and bringing it to me.

Thanks everyone for viewing and your comments are largely appreciated!

It's only a butt view, but I believe this maybe a harvestman (Opilione), and to be honest, I did not see this model unti I got home on the computer. A 2-image, handheld focus stack of a bunch of fungi growing out of a rotting log.

PLEASE: Do not post any comment graphics, they will be deleted. See info in my bio.

The Brittany is still commonly referred to as the Brittany Spaniel, despite the AKC's official removal of "Spaniel" from the breed name in 1982 (read more about this in the history section). The Brittany is quick and curious with an abundant love for running, hunting, and playing. The dog’s good nature and natural eagerness to please make it a great companion pet, but potential owners should be aware that the breed requires plenty of exercise – let your Brittany roam in open areas whenever you can, especially with other dogs. The Brittany is highly trainable and obedient but is also very sensitive to reprimand; take care not to chastise your Brittany too roughly, or it may become shy and fearful. The dog is a natural socializer and gets along exceedingly well with other dogs and children, though small children should never be left alone with a Brittany as the dog’s natural energetic play could cause the child accidental harm.

It is a rare occurrence for a Rocky Mountain Horse to give birth during the cold winter months, and a first first to ever happen on this farm. Sometime in mid-February this lovely mare gave birth to little Fivel. I was fortunate to capture him here at a week old sharing a tender moment with his loving mother.

From 2007 i believe. Same shoot as these 2. Film. I'm getting tired of all of this digital crap on my page.

And i just want to say thank you everyone for all of the lovely feedback, comments, faves, etc. I do my best to respond to everyone in one way or another, but it's hard sometimes. But i look at all of your streams and read everything you guys say, and it really inspires me to keep doing what i do. So thank you, all! :)

Was taken at Kala Pathar Beach, Havelock Island. This time reprocessed it a bit differently.

I had heard that a Little Blue Heron was in the Back Bay in Newport Beach, California. Fortunately, I have been able to see him twice now. The first time I saw him, he was so back lit that I didn't post any of the shots. However, earlier this month I saw him again on an overcast day, but at least he wasn't back lit.

The shot was taken from our dory.

I drove past this cabin as I was returning home after shooting a creek in the snow, I turned around and went back to snap a shot of it. :)
