Always safe the exit ;-)

Captured Autumn 2019 and not being able to return due to current climate and hoping to return later this year.
Another of this Sunrise at Herringfleet windmill from the marshy grasslands. A misty morning with the sunrise lighting up the sky and distant low lying mist.

The sky was so clear….
It was interesting to see how architecture could blend with nature this way as I witnessed the sun setting slowly behind the busy Ting Kau Bridge in West Kowloon, Hong Kong

For this picture I would have liked some ground fog ...
The morning was clear and cold (the thermometer at the location showed -22°C), and I was hoping for perfect conditions, as there is often a bit of fog at this location and at these temperatures the trees are white with hoar frost. But when I drove onto the highway, I could already see a thick bank of high fog in the direction of travel - I wanted the fog below and not above! Fortunately, shortly before Füssen it became clear that this high fog did not quite reach the mountains. Nevertheless, when I arrived, the entire sky over the church was gray, the mountains could not be seen, but at exactly the right time the clouds of fog cleared and gave a view of the mountain tops.
Nevertheless, a little ground fog would have created a mystical atmosphere and more hoarfrost on the trees.
It's the start of a new day. It's a day that for many will start out as any other day. For my cousin, my aunt, my cousin's children and other family members it is the day after you said goodbye to a very funny loving young man - a grandson, a son, a brother, a father, a nephew, or a cousin.
Parents and grandparents are not supposed to outlive their children or grandchildren. I did not get to say goodbye with them as I had a medical appt. at the same time.
Today is the day that they will all wake up, wondering if yesterday was just some kind of a horrible nightmare - that they will somehow see Davey walking in saying "Fooled you all didn't I?" with his goofy silly grin, his unmistakable laugh but sadly, the reality is that he won't. He has gone to where we cannot go.
Those left behind will need all the support and love one can give. The "I'm so sorry's." "He will always be with you." words that some may say may not give you any comfort and, that's okay. As human beings we don't always have the words to comfort, we don't always have the right words to say but, those sentiments are more than likely said with true intent to try to comfort. As human beings we hate to see others suffer and grief is a suffering that we don't always see, something that we are awkward about and that we never know what to say or do for the person grieving.
All last week I saw photos and videos his siblings were posting on social media that made me smile, made me laugh at his antics but one posted yesterday by his older sister moved me to tears. It still does when I think of it as I type this. This is all okay. These feelings, these emotions - they are all okay.
Tomorrow morning four of his siblings are heading back home from Ottawa to the western part of Canada to somehow get on with their lives without him. It will be the start of another new day. A day without him. A day that they can think of him and have a cry, have a smile, have laugh when they think of him.
Big hugs to you all who are grieving his loss or, a loss of your own on this start of a new day and for the new days after that and the new days after that. xoxo
I may not always have time to thank you all for your visits and comments but rest assured, that I do read them and am very appreciative that you took the time to pop by and see what I see here "North of 7" in Rural Eastern Ontario (North Frontenac Township) or, where ever else I might be with my camera now that I am retired and loving it.

First time I'd seen the fishing boat Lady Emma, she was moored in nearby Duncannon harbour so I took a quick iPhone shot of her using the Hipstamatic App.
Sorebælt bridge connects the two larger islands of Denmark: Zeeland and Funen. Budilding it was discussed over many decades, but it finally opened in 1998. I took this photo from a nearby camp site where I was attending the yearly summer meeting in the Matra enthusisasts club of Denmark. It was a beautiful day ending a beautiful summer.
