Enlarged pulmonary arteries, unlike hilar lymphadenopathy, are tapering, have a smooth, "single convexity" outline, and are of lower density. Calcification (linear and peripheral vs central and nodular) is also useful. Note also the striking lack of peripheral pulmonary vessels (pruning), and the absence of any evidence of interstitial lung disease or scarring. Compare with sarcoidosis cases.

You can see the orthochromatic effect on the apple. It is quite dark in the red areas.
This my lovelies is the x-ray of ym sisters are.... the hospital now has two x-rays of her arm. The left. and the right. Because -yup you guessed it- she did exactly the same thing to her other arm this time last year......
Roller skates were a bad idea.
April 1998, Whistler BC. As I contemplate whether to re-up my pro status or not (which expires today, I've been repeatedly reminded), I give you three x-rays of my right knee, taken after I blew out my ACL on what was going to be my last day of the season anyway. Can you see the torn ligament? I can't. I guess you need to be a doctor to figure these things out...
As for pro status, as an unemployed artist who needs to buy a new car this week, I can think of a few better things I should be spending my 25 bucks on. I'm just not sure I'm totally stoked on Flickr anymore... Someone talk me into it. Or out of it...

Slide to xray contact sheet print conversion, phase 1.
This is to convert a positive image into a negative image on film to make contact prints.
An x-ray image of the first compact flash card I ever bought: In 1998 this 10 MB card was $220. In related news, Gordon Moore is still alive.
A photograph of Galaxy's hip xray film that's being submitted to OFA. Galaxy is a 3yo Cardigan Welsh Corgi bitch.
I eagerly await OFA's opinion on them. They look fair or good to me; though I'm hoping for a good!
Sadly the positioning isn't great on this film, so some people've said it might be rejected by OFA. It will be frustrating if it needs to be reshot, since this *WAS* the second shot they'd done of her. We'll see! Either way, they look sound, which is important for a working dog meaning there'll be no concerns in hip health when it comes to her active exercise, and work routine.
i fell while hiking and broke 2 bones in my hand. :( off to the hospital this am to see if they need to put pins in.
