The digital xray system has greatly enhanced our radiology capabilities with the speed of use and quality of pictures.
I thought I would add the x-ray showing the plate and 5 screws. My favorite is the one that goes through the bone!
This is the xray of my broken collarbone after a week of being broken. I'd been wearing this "figure-of-eight" strap to pull my shoulders back and keep the bone aligned to heal, but it turns out the ends were already displaced. The brace would not have done me any good -- it just gave me an extra week of pain.

First try, only as a starting point
size 13X18 (5X7"). Shot in a Linhof technika IV.
Contrast value of image measured on the focal plane with sinarsix: 1:8
Exposure for 100, 50 and 25 ISO
Developing in HC110 dil B 9 min 20°C. Time absolutely empiric. Appearing of middle tones at 3 minutes.
Stop bath with acetic acid, fix with Tetenal super fix and washing in water and Hypo
The negative have been places over a lightbox and shot with a canon EOS 40D
The first row, is the negative as it is, in automatic exposure and standard development in Camera Raw of Photoshop
The second is reversed
The third is reversed and adjusted for levels only
The third is converted in b&w with photoshop, applying a blue filter (trying to mimic a uv exposure for alternative process), and after inverted.
The better result come between 50 and 25 ISO
A note. The emulsion is plenty of scratches. It looks very fragile. I'll be careful for the next step.
To do:
shot 25 and 50 ISO, three shot each, and try three development times in D-76, checking the final density.
well, not bad for a first totally empiric attempt.
I think the bluish hue can't be avoided, at least with this film.
Has anyone something to tell me?
I was the guinea pig for the new imaging system at the orthopedist's office...this was the very first image they moved from their new X-ray scanner to the PC in the exam room next door.
Also, I want some of that re-usable fluorescent film stock for my 35mm cameras, K?
Son with a banana. He wondered what the x-ray would look like, and this is as close as we could get without a trip to the hospital. Taken with iSight camera in Photo Booth using MacBook (Intel).

The outline of Toby's profile shows up eerily in this xray. It took a while for me to realise that the concentric circles were Toby's earrings.

taken during my clinical practice, one of the radiologist is reporting the images.
and this is a specially design flat panel monitor for medical imaging with highest quality resolution and at least containing 5 million pixels
bestnya kalau dapat view dan edit gambar guna monitor neh :D
but it is specially design to be oriented vertically to suite the medical images
and sorry, vista cannot support the system ;)
my knee was bugging me so i went to check it out. these lines appeared when i took the photo - not sure why.

Today was very busy, and this was the only photo I got. I think it's kind of cool though -- my x-rays from the newest chiropractor.
Looking at this makes me cringe... and sit correctly at my desk. Computer professions are destroying our bodies! (But mine is out of whack mostly due to the accident I was in and never really healed from.)
