Been busy as hell at work the past couple of months.
Decided to take two weeks off with the wife and kid. One week to take it easy and kick back here at some of the beautiful areas around Xian. And the second week to hit Hong Kong... Whoo-Hooo. Looking forward to this vacation. Really needed it.
Now the real work begins... Catching up on all of my flickr friends' photo streams.

oh, and it's funny, i think he's been dancing like this for 3 hours... i watched him dance for a bit, went to dinner, came out.. and he was still dancing...

I was talking to Lindsey and mentioned how I was getting a lot of trashy people in that night at work. She mentioned how they would come up to the Liz Arden counter and tell her do make them beautiful. And she said "I don't do miracles!" haha! It was soo funny, but she inspired me to do this drawing!

I re-worked this shot a liitle. This was taken a couple weeks back in the Oregon Coast Range.
I don't have a lot of experience taking pictures in this area but plan on spending a little more time here in the future.
This Sunday I plan on exploring a couple of the creeks in this area to see what I might find. The forecast calls for a bit of rain but I hope I can get a little break here and there...we'll see!!!
Spent my evening in the spectrometer room setting up experiments, such exciting photography fodder!
Seems like tonight will be more of the same with a break to attend the Iowa Caucus.
Work initiative. Someone decided it was a good idea to post pictures of people "shushing" all over the hospital. They have slogans such as, "Quiet, my grandpa is healing." and "Quiet, my husband is healing.", etc... We arrived to work one day to see those new posters in every hallway.
So we made our own. Yea. We're creative that way.
