Went into work today for the first time since I went on Maternity Leave. It was a bit weird being on my own!

Waiting for the last trains to pass before the signal changeover

Not a lot of inspiration today so you get a weird angle of my desk.

Photos from the 113th Annual Student Exhibition Preview Party, hosted by the Women's Board of PAFA.

Amazing alpaca scalp by Pariszhenpink. I had abandoned this faceplate months ago because I didn't think I could ever get that mouth carving to look good. I messed around with it and it is what it is, not sure I'll keep her like this, might do a new faceplate for her.

Feet shoulder width apart, knees slightly bent, lean in, make lots of eye contact, and keep your hands up and open. NOW you are ready to communicate!

This is the result of the third photo task during my visit to Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary yesterday. Goal, to photograph kangaroos drinking from under the water, using the little waterproof DMC-FT3.

The task was especially difficult yesterday. Being a hot day, meant that several ducks decided to swim in the kangaroos drinking water. Result - very dirty water which made a tough task for the little camera which seemed to focus on the floating debris instead of the kangaroo.

Not being able to see through the view finder means composition in guess work.

One of the many things that makes the company I work for a great place to work is the on-site sport and leisure facilities. We're also ideally located to take full advantage of the California climate. Mix the two together and one of the fun things we get to do is play volleyball on a well tended sand court. There was a game on while I walked between buildings and meetings today, so I stopped to take a few shots. Here is a tiny selection! :)

I typically upload in small sets - don't just look at the latest one in my photostream as you might be missing something you'll like more.... and your comments are ALWAYS welcome :)

"Work...covergirl, work it girl..."

A bright start to the day and an opportunity to shoot my place of work from outside in the sunshine before I started work. Sadly the sunshine wasn’t to last.

I'm lucky enough to end up in beautiful places for work.
