Wooler is a town in Northumberland, England. It lies on the edge of the Northumberland National Park, near the Cheviot Hills. It is a popular base for walkers and is referred to as the "Gateway to the Cheviots". As well as many shops and pubs, the town has a youth hostel, many hotels, and campsites. It lies on the St Cuthbert's Way long-distance footpath between Melrose Abbey and Lindisfarne.

Wool and silk make a superb blend. The Merino wool gives the yarn body, softness, and warmth, the silk adds sheen and depth.

wool/nylon blend fingering weight yarn, dyed with K1C2 Culinary Colors. Small shots of all ten colors are found in this skein. I dyed five skeins in this batch, one at a time, using the same dye stocks and the same methods. I ended up with three similar but different lots (see v2 and v3).
