I dyed some mohair with walnut hulls then blended it with white wool. Spun to lace weight and ready to knit.
i managed to win a prize draw on the poshyarn.co.uk blog. dee sent me this beautiful skein of alpaca yarn. it came wrapped in gorgeous pink tissue paper and is as soft, shimmery and luxurious as it looks.

I've just about filled the bobbin, and the singles are getting a little more even. I'm getting into a decent rhythm!
This is a more accurate version of the colour than the pictures from the other night.
I want to dive into this yarn.
Cerulean blues swirl with rich shades of green, reminiscent of moss or seaweed... gently sparkling silver and green strands of glitz shine like reflected starlight. This is a richly colored yarn!
Because it is punta wool, it doesn't have the softest hand, but it is perfect for a hat or head scarf, or something else worn on the outside. You'll enjoy working with the texture!

The blue one is wool and silk! It is so soft and I want to make a scarf or something cosy with it. The colorful ones are dyed cotton and I think they want to be socks. :-)
