One of my favorite patterns. Had some of the old, discontinued Regia wool in my stash. It's a shame that it's no longer available because it wears like iron and is such a pleasure to knit with. The colors were great, too, none of that self-patterning, stripey nonsense. I chose to rib the instep instead of continuing the pattern all the way down.

These are the first pair of socks for my knitting project.

I found a neat turorial on attic24's blog. Really helpful. I am loving joining as I go.

Here is a closer picture, I just love the colors! We will definitely be making more of these, they were so simple and fun. Next batch I will use a bit more wool in each layer as some of these did not become as dense as I had hoped.
