Trails of mist running through the upper Calder valley.

You Can't Get More Wispy Than A Skeleton.

This is a bit different for me. SSBPhotography commented yesterday about seeing more portraiture from me, and I was reminded of this image that I dismissed a while back… but spending more time on it, I kinda like it. Both the colour and framing are a bit different for me… but trying new things is good.

This is from Montreal… with the lovely Lara hiding behind her hair.

Since Amelia left, Darcy has had all the attention from the house ghosts, her old friends. They like her to visit places from their past, to see how they've changed over the centuries while the girls have been confined to the house.

Today Darcy went to Wisp Hill, a place where one of her friends used to sit alone and watch the low mist move across the valley below. It hasn't changed a bit.

I was fortunate enough to witness a really stunning sunrise this morning and it's one of the more beautiful things I've ever seen.

If you can believe it, this is an 8sec exposure. Normally need to have 20-30secs to get this effect. Lost count as to how many times I wiped away sea spray from my filters.

Slight pack of three versatile ear wisps.

i've never identified more to a character than Caddy, and what's interesting, she doesn't even have a voice. she's always fleeing destruction, hiding her face, living her life in the corner of your eyes - dancing behind curtains, darting off into the woods

maybe that's what i like about her

The river Eden back in July on one of the many glorious days. The strength of the early morning sun was lifting the wisps of mist.

Framing is everything, the Syr Darya river at two zoom levels: the winding rivers remind me of wisps of smoke. At the borders of the river you can see the #CropArt where humans have naturally started growing food using the life-giving water a river brings. Note how on one picture a river bend seems to have been cut off by a canal, it looks like a shortcut but undoubtedly used for irrigation.

Feckenham, Worcestershire, England, UK

Feckenham is a village and civil parish in the Borough of Redditch in Worcestershire, England. It lies some 4 miles (6 km) south-west of the town of Redditch and some 11 miles (18 km) east of the city of Worcester. It had a population of 670 in the 2001 census and its immediate area is the location of notable royal manors that cover over 1,000 years of English history documented in many royal charters and Acts of Parliament. At its greatest, the historic Forest of Feckenham stretched to the River Avon in the south and to Worcester in the west. In 1389 Geoffrey Chaucer was as Clerk of Works and Keeper of the Lodge.

Feckenham in the 21st century is a rural community with a traditional English village green with walking and riding routes, including the long-distance public footpath, The Monarch's Way, that passes about 1.5 miles east of the village.

Dawn at Tunnel Overlook in Shenandoah National Park. We were treated to a wonderful combination of great light and incredible fog. These clouds were a beautiful shade of pink and really stood out against the otherwise blue sky.

The Wisp II, a Swedish hammerless revolver chambered in .437 SAM - Super / Anti-Materiel - proved that, while obscure, it was reliable and powerful. To ensure all users would be comfortable with firing, the cylinder can slide out on either side, and the trigger pull resistance can be adjusted.

This particular model is equipped with an integrated reflex sight, capable of self-adjusting using the laser-based rangefinder below the barrel.
