Första snön på träden utanför vårt fönster

It has been snowing since last night and isn't supposed to stop until some time late tonight. Ugh! I just want it to be spring now!

02/04/18 - From the middle of the road

Random tree shot.

This is my card for the Hero Arts Holiday Challenge: Mad about Metallics. Blogged at mustesormi.blogspot.fi/2014/10/talviset-puut-winter-trees...

Driving back to Manchester from Easter with my mum and my sister's mob - I'd only been in the car 10 minutes when I stopped to get a view of this wonderful sky. In fact, it was a good job I stopped, as my bike had started slipping off its rack! Oops!

Winter Trees

The wet dawn inks are doing their blue dissolve.

On their blotter of fog the trees

Seem a botanical drawing.

Memories growing, ring on ring,

A series of weddings.

Knowing neither abortions nor bitchery,

Truer than women,

They seed so effortlessly!

Tasting the winds, that are footless,

Waist-deep in history.

Full of wings, otherworldliness.

In this, they are Ledas.

O mother of leaves and sweetness

Who are these pietas?

The shadows of ringdoves chanting, but chasing nothing.

This tower atop the Art Deco AWA Building in central Sydney was once an icon of the city, heralding a coming hi-tech era. It is now almost forgotten, dwarfed by surrounding office blocks

Southeast Texas' twiggy winters

Gulls at Roath Park and lake, Cardiff, 6 January 2012. Gulls stand on a fence at the water's edge watching for the next sign of food to scavenge.

Advice is like snow

the softer it falls, the longer it dwells upon,

and the deeper it sinks into the mind.

The huge St. Theresa's Catholic Church opened in the summer of 2006 in Little Egg Harbor, New Jersey. It replaced a smaller one in downtown Tuckerton, which is now the Holy Spirit Episcopal Church.

My brother taking the steep route back.

I just want the snow to stop & the weather to warm up!

02-11-18 - trees

Library in the Winter, one of three that serve Burke Co., NC. This one is on 204 S. Kings Street, in Morganton, NC. Even though the little "thing-a-ma-giggie" sticks it in Salem. You cross the street and back in the olden days you were in a different community. But it's still all the same when it comes outta the wash. The others are in Valdese & Drexel, NC.

I just love this old library! Then ones in Charlotte where I'm from look like almost everything else...a square building. But this one is different. Don't quote me but I think it use to be a private home or at least an old private home stood on this site then was donated to the town to be used as the library.

"Ask Me Yesterday" by 'Tom Keifer' (lead singer of the 80s hairband 'Cinderella') His new cd is AWESOME.

He suffered from blown vocal cords just when Cinderella was making it big and they had to either stop or Tom would have no voice. He now lives in Nashville had many surgeries and it took 25 years to make this CD ~"The Way Life Goes"!! Glad he has his voice back!

Snow beneath whose chilly softness

Some that never lay

Make their first Repose this Winter

I admonish Thee

Blanket Wealthier the Neighbor

We so new bestow

Than thine acclimated Creature

Wilt Thou, Austere Snow?
