The Bay of Green Bay literally turns green as it reflects a nice aurora substorm. Light pollution on the horizon is from (right to left): Marinette, Oconto, and possibly Pensaukee.

Popcorn cloud layer. Saint Louis (STL) to Dallas/Fort Worth (DFW) • The Boeing 737's scimitar blended winglet, at the end of the wing, looks dull because it was in solid shadow, as are the two appendages below the wing.

A Southwest Airlines Boeing 737-800 on final into RWY 26 at Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport.
Another view of the night-to-light transition...Lady Aurora is still in party mode at left. In the foreground is sandy hills, while at lower left alongside Lake Superior is leftover winter ice. The waves kept the ice grinding along all night, providing a soundtrack for the aurora...with the Milky Way watching from above.
