Southbound CN freight rolls across the Oshkosh lift bridge during a thunderstorm...the lightning playing across the clouds illuminates the mammatus formation above. I'm really quite happy with how this one turned out.

On the 7th of October 2014 two Ryanair Boeing 737-800's had a coming together at Dublin Airport. The incident seems to have been caused when one aircraft EI-EKK was taxiing to Runway 28 for departure and was stopped on a taxiway. The other aircraft EI-EMH was possibly taxiing for a runway 34 departure. It is common practice at Dublin Airport during the busy departure time in the morning for both runways to be used. The winglet of EI-EMH impacted the tailplane of EI-EKK and as you can see in the photograph the winglet tip of EI-EMH was left attached to the tailplane of EI-EKK.

Those winglets are 11 feet tall.
