😄Happy Window Wednesday 😄
Thanks for views, faves and comments :-))
Behind a newly constructed set of apartments, there is an apparently abandoned section of an old building that time appears to have forgotten about! The window allows you to glimpse into a long disused room. It’s on Northgate, Newark.
On a rainy day earlier this month, while in NH, we visited an art gallery by appointment, as it was off season. But we wanted to see this place again. The heat had been turned off, so it was bitter cold inside, but the works were so beautiful.
Max awaits the whip to take the sleigh to Whoville for the Grinch. Max represents us in the story, Max the dog puts on the pretend to be a reindeer to carry out the Grinch's wishes.
taken out the window of our hotel room when we were in Long Island City for my daughter's wedding...
At 42-10 Vernon Boulevard on a lawn leading to the East River sits a fairy-tale brick and terra cotta relic: a two-story confection of stepped gables, chimneys styled with spirals, round red roof tiles, and panels carved with floral motifs and grotesque faces.
Considering the boarded-up windows and barbed-wire fence the building crumbles behind, you might disregard this unusual remnant as a hopeless wreck.
I would have loved to take a peek inside!!!
THANKS FOR YOUR VISIT AND FAVES
ON THE REACTIONS I WILL TRY TO RESPOND BACK

You've probably seen this window before, but I like how it was standing out in the light I had.
Better viewed large and thank you for your favourites. :O)
front side of the historic 1913 railway station in Cumberland MD sculpture dedicated to the C&O Canal workers and mules
The C&O canal, which begins in Georgetown (DC), was originally planned to go all the way to Pittsburgh. The arrival of the railroad put an end to those plans, so it never made it past Cumberland. This is the beautifully restored 1913 Western Maryland Railroad station, which today houses offices and the Visitor Center for the C&O Canal Historic Park.

Found this cute little cottage down near the seaside at Wynnum, Brisbane. She may need a bit of TLC including a few windows cleaned but doesn't she have some classic lines.
HAPPY WINDOW WEDNESDAY(S) !!
A fine old window, beautifully maintained on the outside, and sporting some nice potted flowers. However...
...there is something odd going on with the window covering inside the house. I think maybe it is ripped at the top. See if you can figure it out.

Ladies hairdresser on Portland street, Newark. I love some of the names given to ladies hairdressers. Some of them are quite ingenious and funny. Men’s hairdressers rarely have good names, on the other hand!
And does the name ‘Curl Up N Dye’ apply to me? Most certainly not! My current illness might be very bad but it is curative. It will be a long and rocky road but I will survive!

HAPPY WINDOW WEDNESDAY(S) !!
These are windows in an old dairy house (das Sennhaus). I have posted the lower window alone previously. If you look close, you can see me, clicking away, reflected in the lower window. Because of the upstairs curtains and newer, more weather-proof window, it seems clear that somebody lives above the dairy.
FWIW - There were two really long-running (1971 and 2010) BBC TV series named Upstairs Downstairs.
