Pew Tor Panorama - facing north east from the edge of the Tor.
Up on the western edge of Dartmoor, just a couple of miles from Tavistock, is the place that started my love affair with the West Country, the reason I moved 250 miles and my entire life to Devon. Pew Tor is fairly unassuming as Dartmoor tors go, but off the main tourist drag and reasonably easy to climb. I LOVE this view - the photo does not remotely do this justice.
I do like the way you can see the bad weather coming in from the west, but I'll never be happy with any view from here - I'm too emotionally attached to the place to ever feel I can convey my feelings well in 2 dimensions.
From left to right you can see Cox Tor, Great Staple Tor, Great Mis Tor and North Hessary Tor (with the mast). And lots of sheeps. And no people. Bliss....

On New Year's Day 2015 around 3pm, 2 pods of Transient Orcas - the T137s and T036/T036Bs - came by the island to say hello. They were breaching in 3 groups, and there was so much going on, it was hard to focus on any group long enough to take a good shot! They came quite close to shore, playing and harassing the seabirds. - Taken from Anderson Island, WA's Riviera Marina on the east side of the island, facing Steilacoom and Ketron

For the group Repackaged by Zero FM. Not that great but my brain has been off on holiday (even if I haven't!!!)
At least I presume so, I don't sit on this seat but the one next to it, that I am sitting on, is comfortable 😀
The Challenge Friday group has chosen Comfort as the theme for week 32.
It's orange week around here. Riya wears the new Liv doll outfit I got from Target, thanks to a tip from Iveta. Other than the bracelets, the set also comes with a purse and a pair of cool looking slippers that are unfortunately a bit large for Momokos.
Goodramgate, York. The oldest surviving row of houses in York. Built in 1316 in what was the churchyard of Holy Trinity church.
I can't recall the name of the building that I took this close-up shot of whilst in Glasgow, the other day ... it does have a feeling of religion but I do know it wasn't a church!!

Una más de las fotografías de los autos antiguos.
With the hat and all, if you look close. With my camera, I can never get a good sun-flare like some do, but I can get some interesting effects I think.
Taken earlier this month but with a little cropping to give more emphasis to the trees!

I visited the ospreys for the first time in a month, and this juvenile was the only one I saw, but I could hear the others on the other side of the dam road. This one did a lot of flying and circling, but it never dived into the lake. Week 32 of 52 of 2012. The theme is IN MOTION.

On the left, a young Thorpe of 7 years. On the right, todays birthday boy at 37 years. How time fly's. Now that I see these two pictures side by side, it becomes clear that most my hair has migrated from my head to my face. :) Either way im still the same fun loving jokster I was when I was 7. Here's to another birthday and my eternal Peter Pan syndrome! Hey, Im too young to be old!! lol

Window decorated for Valentine's Day. The small hearts were given to customers to write messages, with the best one due to receive a prize. I love finding interesting shop window displays.

Although, it was a little breezy it didn't spoil my view ~ looking over the grassy dunes towards Troon!

Numbers - Take an interesting photo of a number.
Savanah has had a big week this week. Not only did she turn 6, but today was her first day of school.
I don't know how interesting this may be for others, but for me, well, she is my daughter after all! LOL
I liked both shots I took, but as cute as I think she is in the other one, I like how she is laying her head on the six in this one.

There was a meeting of old cars. Where with my friend Monica etcheverry went and photographed these beauties.
I was blindfolded, but now I'm seeing
My mind was closing, now I'm believing
I finally know just what it means to let someone in
To see the side of me that no one does or ever will
So if your ever lost and find yourself all alone
I'd search forever just to bring you home,
Here and now this I vow.
I hope you are all having a great weekend! :)

Observando muy bien lo que ve, y contemplando la historia en un auto.
Camino para vivir. Camino para construir mi propio camino.
El entusiasmo que tiene la chica para poder tocar el auto que lo mira fijamente y con gran asombro.
Roger was peeking out the front door. I thought the plain white door & door casing looked a little, well, plain so I added the peeling paint texture. I only took 2 quick shots & the other one was even more out of focus than this one
RACK as in bicycle rack = STÄLL som i cykelställ
The word RACK must be related to the Swedish RÄCKE (=railing/fence). Both referring to items with several parallel bars.
I amused myself by image Googling räcke and staket - confirming my impression that the former usually has more air in it.
