The base exposure for this image can be found here. In addition to the HDR work, the image has been extensively manipulated in CS5 to address the keystoning and to remove a substantial amount of street architecture, namely the telephone wires and street lamp and a roof aerial, and the two cars in front of the garage.
A detailed review of my processing of this image can be found here.
Hewo 52 weeks friends. Spiggs here... I apologize for my mommy not uploading a photo until this afternoon... but she has been very busy trying to secure a new home for us starting March 1st. She is also very sad today... I'm not sure why, but her eyes were quite swollen this morning, I gave her a big hug just in case she needed it...my mom Baccha was keeping her company in the house- Shes a much better snuggler than me! This photo was from yesterday after I did bite work getting ready for my Schutzhund, IPO 2 competition. I am resting by the car with my "passifier", also known as a sleeve. I love this thing alot. alot. alot. I also like fighting with our decoy- Michael. We have been learning alot these past months and my mommy seems to be pleased... which makes me feel like a team! YAH! So my face here... while I dont look excited, I am concentrating really hard on keeping my full bite on my Wubba.... because I know my momma is about to "OUT" me and put me back in my crate. I must enjoy while I can! See you next week!
"Momma" here: I apologize folks for being so absent this week, as mentioned before, I just signed a lease on a 5.5 acre horse farm and little house which I have been coordinating all week and has taken a lot of time in-between jobs and training. That said, I will be moving out as of March 1st... and I had to break the news to my 4.5 year boyfriend last night... needless to say. It has been a hard day. <-- hence my crossroads photo earlier I will catch up on comments tonight and this week, promise.
Technically... this photo is not all that great. But as Spiggs mentioned above.. his facial expression is just as he said. He's very serious when we get back to the car because he knows I will let him be for a min, then I have to out him and put him away = not his favorite. This photo does show his full bite on the sleeve that he is very good at and you can sorta see him grinning beneath the seriousness. I have great plans for this Valentines week... hint: tramp and spaghetti

Playing with a early 1980's 35-105mm minolta lens I got off ebay and noticed that it is quite sharp and good color. The macro switch seemed to work well in this pic also.

It's been hot. Very very hot. Wonderfully so. So hot in fact that everything was put on hold and days were spent lounging around with ice cream.
The weekend arrived and it was still hot- beach weather. The boyfriend and I went down to a west facing beach Saturday evening, had a picnic, swam in the sea and took far too many photos of the sun setting over the sea. A pinhole lens had arrived for me and it was time to experiment! Cider on the beach. Bliss...

Week seventeen
In my two hands, it rested. My heart spoke in a language that I was not familiar with, but understood perfectly. I shouldn't have touched this, I shouldn't have even considered opening this box. Because this particular box is a key to misery, illnesses, and constant suffering. Unfortunate for me, I am not able to control my curiosity; held hostage under my own traits. My fingers trembled to the beating of my heart. I shouldn't, t shouldn't. I knew this was wrong, I knew I was going to regret this, but again, curiosity took over, and I was on the edge of giving in. Blood rushed through my veins, and the oxygen was draining through the holes in my lungs. My fingers continued to dance to the haunting melody that reverberated in my ears. Then it happened.

I over think things too much, and I'm always looker for a deeper meaning. during this week i realized that thinking causes headaches ( great discovery, isn't it? :D). and in order to grow, to live, you have to just breathe. And i forgot how .

Well this is quite an experimentation for me! I took some quick photos of a field of yellow flowers (that I've always thought were called Indian paintbrushes - I don't think they are), but they turned out very dull. So I let GIMPressionist turn it into an Impressionist-like painting! It's not up to the quality of the experts like JTH in the make new mistakes group (and aren't the identical clouds obvious?!), but it sure looks better to me than the original (see below).

Week # 10 Reflections - Reflecting on a great week-end of skiing at Blue Mountain in Collingwood Ontario.
52 Weeks project.
Meet Tânia. Her first photoshoot. She did it very well.
Extracted from a white background and added a new one.
Strobist: One Cromalite 160w/s flash in front. One Cromalite 160 w/s flash with grid camera right and beyond model.
Newtons first law of motion in practice. Of course, a cheap newtons cradle is a poor example of the phrase "an object in motion tends to stay in motion". In this case an object in motion tends to stay in motion for about 30 seconds. Said object will also reflect your kitchen and fight every attempt to deal with the reflection leaving you to say "screw it" and just leave the reflection in the shot. I'm sure Newton had all that in mind when he wrote his laws of motion. Right?

This image was taken at sunrise on September 11, 2014. Only as I was posting this did the symbolism of the flag and airplane on this date hit me. I had taken 4 images and liked this crop the best.
The airplane is a handmade whirl-a-gig that my brother-in-law crafted.
Another light painting shot I did for the Night Photography theme at 52 in 2015. This is a moonflower. They only bloom at night. When I was out last night around 7:30 taking this, there were only four blossoms open on the vine on the fence. By morning there were 25 beauties open. We love these flowers.
My alternate shot for the week.
8 second exposure and lit with a little flashlight I picked up at the hardware store.
Its one of those weeks that fly by and before you realize, you ran out of time.
So I had to settle for this, not a great one. Still, it tells a story.
As you can see, our puppy is growing, fast. He is about the same height as Cara now.
And slowly she is deciding he is ok. She hardly has a choice though, he will lie down where she is.
But I am definitely getting the idea she is starting to like him.
The ultimate test will be when we have the fence up. Cara is known for chasing the boys all over the place. And I kind of hope she will start doing that again over here, with Lehto.
It will be interesting to see who is faster. She is very fast, he still has a lot of growing to do.
But no matter what, I think we are in for some fun the moment the fence is up.
And I will be there, camera in hand.
