Wow! It's like spring right now!...but wait it's January?!
This week is so busy and I really don't have time for anything...exept today a little bit..have to work so much for school.
Anyway, I bought myself an iPhone 4s last week and do you know what? It's AWESOME, AMAZING, ...just WOW!!
I never thought I would leave my house with a mobile phone instead of a DSLR and take pictures...I take very many photos with the iphone, the quality doesn't matter this much.
Nowadays we are used to take our DSLRs and take perfect pictures..but what if you don't have it by your side at the right time?...Chase Jarvis said "the best camera is the one that's with you"..so why don't try to do the best with other cameras? you'll learn many new things ;)
I took this one with the iPhone and yeah...it's not what I expected from a mobile phone, it's much more :) (there's also a little bit bokeh in it :O)
Don't worry, I'll take pictures with the DSLR soon again, but now I don't have the time..
Oh and those of you who also own an iPhone can follow me on instagram, I'll follow you back ;) (username: lukeleo)
I wanted to try something different for this week. No HDR color blast look this week. Instead I wanted to do a springt themed pic, with a nice soft glow. I told you last week that I wanted to do some outdoor spring themed shooting, which then didn’t work out unfortunately, because the weather went bad. This week it did! Marie and I immediately went out, to relax a little in the sun and enjoy the weather. It’s great to just hang out in a hammock somewhere in the woods and read or relax for a while.

I just used one light source for this picture. One that is available to everybody for FREE! Of course I’m talking about the sun.

Just so you all know Morgan King's Birthday is on Wednesday!!!

After the recent craziness of the Utata Big Project - here's something relatively normal along with a blog ponderance on the summer vladography.wordpress.com/2013/09/11/week-26/
Flop-flops as art. The people in this beach house had all these flip-flops nailed to their fence! What does this mean?! Do flip-flops count as shoes?
Thanks everyone! At first I thought these were stray flip-flops, but it looks like they are matching pairs!
The theme this week was diptych or triptych. I decided to go with a beachy theme for this one. I didn't want to make this too pretty, so I added the dead alewives to macabre things up a bit. It was a really nice day to walk over to North Beach. There were only a few people there, so I nearly had the whole beach to myself. It's a great peaceful place to be to get away from my desk and break up the day for a while. I like how I was able to incorporate Port Washington's iconic lighthouse in this one as well.
Theme Of The Week - A Child's Perspective
My mom has many photos similar to this from my sister's and I adventures with the 110 film cameras when we were kids.
couldn't resist posting a photo of the glorious blue sky we had today, but also wanted to participate in this week's challenge, "black." so, this toy sort of counts as black, right? i mean, the rope is black and, according to alice, the rope is the best part because she can grab it and shake it and kill it, knocking herself in the head and oftentimes knocking me in the knees.
can't believe we only have six weeks left in the year!

Week 2: Self Portrait
Alright so this was shot today, an hour ago. Not the same day as week one despite the simular shirt... it's not even the same shirt I'm just really loyal to what I like, including styles.
I did something here I rarely do... a standard classic portrait.
Shot w/ my Canon t2i and Canon 50mm prime lens. Off camera flash w/ flash bender and flesh tone filter.
Processed in Photoshop with a gradient filter instead of your standard b/w transitions.
Blue tone added for "Detroit B/W" effect as most pre made effects w/ this tone are called that...why? I don't know...
26 years of age / no skin brushes / filters. I'll enjoy it while it lasts.

Niblet measures over 16 inches long and weighs more than 3 1/2 pounds. She can turn her head from side to side this week, a new skill to add to her repertoire.
It's funny - the bigger I get, the better I feel and the more I love my pregnant body. When I look in the mirror now, all I see is a big beautiful baby in there and my heart swells up. Except the other day I did have a brief moment where I caught a glimpse of myself in profile and thought, "HOLY SHIT WHAT HAPPENED TO MY STOMACH????" before I remembered that I'm almost 8 months pregnant and SUPPOSED to look like this. Ha.
Theme Of The Week - Macro/Close up
I was going to take a picture of a tiny toad I found in my yard, but he jumped out of my hands before I could get my camera.

Not a new composition, I used this in my 52 week challenge 2018 but i've always been proud of the effort I put in with this one so thought I would give it another viewing.
Note to self must get a larger ruler...they are between 6 to 9 inches :)
This ruler came with the house ;0)
had to get up at stupid 0clock this morning as my niece megan was coming round for a little shoot :) unfortunately the weather was against us so we did a mini shoot inside and then i gave her a little photoshop lesson in freaky zombie shit hehe :) she did fab so hopefully she'll take after me in the weirdness ;) we also got to test out my oh so fabtastical bubble machine that i got for my birthday :)
had a few mental customers in this week at work, i caught a lady sniffing the toothpaste!!
then there was the lady that wanted to know if we sold 'those bottles that go in plugs'!! turns out she wanted plug in air fresheners.....
then there was the oh so embarassing situation with the man that i thought asked for 'loose carpet gel', i didnt have a clue what he was on about and asked him what it was for, he then pointed at his man parts and kept saying 'for men', eeekkk, turns out he wanted lubricating gel. oh my christ i was so embarrassed :(
Yep, my family and I finally managed to visit England, London. It was a great experience and I'm so in love with the british accent. We visited a lot of sights and the weather was better than expected. I enjoyed this week, because it was nice to escape from everyday life.

L'autoportrait du 1er janvier.
J'aimerais ne pas me limiter à un seul style. Je pratique plusieurs genres avec plaisir. Voilà, c'est parti pour la première semaine.

This week concept is thanks to Steph's idea to do an underwater shoot to make it look weightless.
I didn't have many ideas for this theme, so I am thankful I have creative friends.
The idea I came up with to go with this picture is kinda morbid, "what if we ran out of places to bury our dead, so we started sending them out into space"
Special thanks to my friend Donny for letting me borrow his underwater camera, and to Steph for modeling even though it was really hard to hold yourself down.
Check out my blog for a post on the storm that hit my town! and also follow me on my other social medias for extra stuff =]
