I drive over these tracks nearly every day of the week, and I have always kind of liked railroad tracks in photography. So I thought, despite the cold, hell, I can survive one more picture. I liked the reflection of the setting sun on the top of the tracks enough to post it. I guess it was another attempt at artistry.
This image was selected as Photos of the Week – Week 30, 2009. Thank you!

My photograph for Week 6 of the Dogwood 52 Week Photography challenge.
This week's brief was Candy (Sweets), without taking taking photographs of sweets themselves.

Well this is Linda, 18 years old. Maybe a bit influenced by last weeks photo but I liked the outcome there and wanted to see what we could do with a girl this time.
Idea is that she is some kind of monster, like a vampire, demon or something like that. We were going to use contact lenses to make her eyes wierd but we didn´t have time to get them (had to order from abroad...) so I had to post process the eyes to look like they do now, hope it doesn´t look too fake (well supposed to look fake ofcourse but not like bad photoshop work, hehe)
When we told her the idea for this shot she was very enthusiastic since she is an aspiring model and this is quite different from the photos I have taken of her so far, most of them have been beauty/cute shot´s, nothing at all like this.
Lighting is a big softbox from the front, a small one over her head for some very slight hairlighting and a reflector lying on the floor just to get a tiny bit of light from below.
Post processing was very minimal (except for the eyes), mostly just curves, some select burn/dodge and sepia toning of course.
New Year’s resolution comes into play, and for all of us, there’s always room to improve our photography. This year I commit myself to 52 weeks project to improve my photography skills. Wish me luck :)
This one is for my little brother .............
I would like to call you today and tell you that I love you. But your old number is no longer active. I tried the operator.... said that he was sorry but that number does not exist. I tried to go to your home but you not live there anymore. The post office claimed that your address not exist ... probably because HEAVEN is too far. I love you and miss so much...you will be forever in my heart!

I started a new job this week. It started out kinda rough, but slowly yet surely it got better and I'm feeling really good about it.
Develop is the theme for Teleidoscope this week, and with starting a new job, it seemed rather timely.
On Tuesday, I received a massive "Brain Dump" from several people, and getting up to speed on a project as quickly as possible, while learning a massive amount of names, a couple programs, new protocols, as well as the simple things (like where's the tea? Is this fruit free? Why is the ladies bathroom on the floor below me?)... It turned my brain into absolute mush Tuesday night. Jobs have a way of really developing our character, our skills, fine-tuning us into working machines professionals.
Because of starting this job, I haven't taken any photos until today. I haven't had any time on Flickr *tear*, so I haven't really seen anyone's photos *double tear*. I'm going to try to get caught up today, but my house has also been neglected this week.... so off I go to do some chores. Anyone want to vacuum my flat for me? :)
HCS!!
(Cliches - 2 Vignettes and B&W? Srsly.)
Beginning of Week 3 of my Healthier Lifestyle, involving more exercise and fresh air and here's where I am at.
Day 1 - no exercise (exhausted)
Day 2 - marathon walk, including a pit stop for 2 of the most delicious caesars I've ever drank
Day 3 -another marathon walk, including antiquing & a caesar (not as noteworthy as the previous days
Day 4 - water aerobics (could feel muscles, I didn't even know existed)
Day 5 - dragged my tired body to swim lengths - swam 7 lengths & the pool was evacuated due to vomit (not mine)
Day 6 - desperately needed a break
Day 7 - craved the exercise, but couldn't find the time
Having a lot of trouble keeping up the 'exercise 6 days a week' plan. I managed 4 days this week, one shy of last week. Partially as I think I overdid the exercise early in the week and partially cause my life is busy and I am resisting the 6 am workout.
I do think the exercise is starting to show though. I seems to me that my love handles are slowly disappearing. This could all be in my imagination though. I am also now craving exercise and am not satisfied unless I get it.
Oh and I managed to cut out the late night eating in favour of cocoa.
Painting project with my Granddaughter Aleyna. The Roots are grandparent handprints and the Leaves are the grandchildren's handprints. This is not a current photo because I'm very busy choosing all the finishes for my remodel project. This obviously is not a mirror image but I like its symmetry.

"Na agitada era da informação a paranóia e os terrores das ruas, moda e cultura permeiam a vida de novos artistas que, acostumados com a presença dos demônios do cotidiano, mal se dão conta de que eles estão à espreita. Refletir e organizar as idéias, antes atividades introspectivas, agora são exercícios corriqueiros para perceber a loucura do mundo. Pesadelos não mais assombram e oprimem, mas são exorcizados na forma de arte por Cezar Berje."

Theme Of The - Fisheye
I have a fish-eye lens somewhere, but I haven't been able to find it because 3/4 of the stuff from my basement is upstairs due to the waterproofing project.
I was up in Alton yesterday to look through the antique shops. This was taken through a large peep-hole in the back door of one of the shops.
I joined a 52 weeks challenge from a local Blythe group :)
Week 1 Selfportrait
Not everyone likes to look in the mirror, some people rather look away...
I made my mistakes
I’ve got no where to run
The night goes on
As I’m fading away
I’m sick of this life
I just wanna scream
How could this happen to me
I can't believe I cut the first two lessons today to take this picture :D I waited weeks for a fog like this-and the picture turned out just as I had in mind. I'm happy ;)
if life gets in the way of your plans,
forget about them and just live it.
that's what I did this week. I had fun, I was hardly ever at home and I enjoyed it.
I spent time with Nina and the other day we went shopping and then she came over again in the evening and I went to the open air pool with others and in the evening we made cocktails and I think I made new friends. this was a good week full of life and without paying attention to my to do list.
