This week the girls had to do a motion shot and they were each assigned a neon color to wear. In this photo the japanese writing says "The Color Blue".

Spring! It's really here...Finally! Cherry blossoms and all! Now Mom is placing me in front of every flower tree there is and grabbing pictures. Please tell her to stop.

Shockingly behind with my themes!

We had a little visitor this past week. My son, his wife and their 21 month old son stayed with us. They live in Washington, DC and their daycare closes for a week in the summer. We all took vacation days and had a lovely visit.

Della hasn't ever spent much time around a kid that age. Kids that age run, walk and move very differently than big kids. She was so good with my grandson. He was very interested in Della but a little apprehensive at first. I did get a few photos of them together but it was this one I liked best.

Rafa is just learning to talk and he was saying Della by the time they left. He would constantly point to her, say her name and then wave at her. It was the only thing I could understand. My daughter in law is from Brazil and they speak Portuguese to him. His daycare is Spanish speaking and we speak English to him. He seems to understand each language but the words he is using at this point are Portuguese.

I thought his little hand coming out and pointing at Della was a good representation of their visit.

I put a photo of Rafa and Della in the first comment box.

I was always one of those annoying kids who had to have their pencils arranged in colour order and I still am.

Week 3/52

Growing up, I always found comfort in my books. I would read for hours, always taking me to a new and exciting place. I was never bored, there was always another book for me to dive into. Although it feels like I haven't picked up a book in ages, I have always felt more comfortable in solitude than in large crowds. I usually like to shoot my self portraits alone as well, it's more of a transformative process and a way to center myself again.

This is my week three image and boy was I sitting on this for two days too long. Trying to get all the books, candles, and kitty just right drove my inner perfectionist insane. I still feel as if it's not done, but I'm trying to see this 52 Week project as a way to let go.

So here it is.

Also, check me out on Facebook. I tend to post things there first and usually more images to a series. Like my page to keep up to date with what I'm doing!

(kinda cheating, but trying to get caught up on weeks)

tophat season, so lovely.

Love the how this dreamy light hits her delicate curls and creates that sweet profile.

I was hoping to get out and about and take a photo of a fantastic looking ceiling but I've been out very little this last week. Also the weather hasn't helped - solid

grey sky - hate them. This will have to do. This is the Ron's Hide at Lee Farm Lake. Basically it's a wooden shed. It's a bit better than a normal shed. It's lined with plywood as you can see in the photo. It does have seating and as it's restricted to members only, it does not get too busy.

Ten less-than-inspiring images posted late tonight, all taken in the morning of 14 May 2018, Day 8 of our two-week holiday in Ontario and Quebec. Hopefully, I might be able to get a few more photos edited and uploaded in the next few days, especially if the weather forecast actually turns out to be accurate - i.e. snow for the next three days. It has been about eight months since friends and I returned from this amazing holiday, so I have forgotten all the French names of the various places we drove to during our week in Quebec, I will try and research some of them tomorrow.

Too tired to do anything further tonight after a day that didn't turn out how I had expected. After seeing the forecast for snow, I thought I had better make another drive east of the city. I had been hoping to see a Short-eared Owl, but there was no sign of it. Next plan was to drive some of the back roads in search of a Snowy Owl or two. However, once again, I left Calgary in sunshine and found myself driving in fog, just like another recent day. Today was not such dense fog, but everywhere was heavily overcast. I had only driven two gravel back roads and was just doing a U-turn when my car started making a dreadful noise - a rather metallic scraping sound. No warning lights came on on my dashboard, which was promising, but that loud noise persisted the whole drive back to the city from east of Langdon. I drove straight to the dealership and they were able to take a look at it this afternoon. When it was taken for a test drive, it made no noise, apparently - of course! Most likely, a rock or piece of gravel had got into the brakes and it became dislodged when the mechanic drove it. My car is in good condition, I was told, but I definitely thought I was going to be stuck out east earlier today, ha.

More info on Day 8 will be added tomorrow.

Thank you all!!!

both these snowy views were taken a few weeks ago but as they fitted the challenge I thought I would cheat :)

Sorry I've been very busy this week, I've only been sleeping about an hour or two a day, if I get to sleep at all.

This is just a rushed photo, I'm so sorry T_T It doesn't have any significance or look interesting or anything.

I'm tired and I need a break =(

I messaged the impersonator and the website which the impersonator is posting the photographs but I have not heard from either one of them. This kind of sucks.

I don't think it's fair to steal my photos, calling them photos of you, saying you took the photo, you did the post processing. I feel like posting the person's link here but ah >< nevermind. Oh well.

A cold week but a good chance to go for a walk with my camera and take a few wintery photos.

Week 11 is up on the blog and how could I not share another photo of Cass's kids and mine all together. I excitedly finished this roll and developed hoping I would have something to share. Was very very happy with the results. As always, more good stuff over on the blog: letthewildrumpuslast.wordpress.com/2014/04/24/eleven/

I've known quite a few of the kids here when they were only children and much much smaller, probably in diapers. This week's posts really make me see how much our kids are growing up!

Wow....made it, just barely!!

My favorite wine I originally chose because I loved the label and the name, Apothic Red. Now they've come out with a new blend and imagine, I only found it this week, just in time for week two. It's perfect.

Mind you, the photo, technically, is not.....not enough time, too much in a hurry. It was the perfect candidate for a texture, which I did for the Outtake just to see.

K.....must go and crack it open now. :)

I'm so excited.

Still on some of my favourite shots from this year for my shot a week. Here's one of Larkin Poe, excellent roots/blues/rock band originally from Georgia. The sisters put on one heck of a show during the Singapore grand Prix this year, and I became an instant fan. More soon.

Theme of The Week - Panorama

yesterday it rained all day.

today, got up early, drove out to the country, went home & discovered that I didn't like the pictures even though I looked at them there (!), got mad, tried to use my panorama stitching program to stitch them together anyway, it was expired, found another free one that I liked, drove back out to the country, reshoot, go home, try to stitch them, too little overlap on one side, have to do it manually in photoshop... other than all that drama, I think it turned out ok

Genna and Boomer are happiest when they can run through the fields. My uncle's property is a great place with lots of open fields. This way they don't get into trouble finding something in the woods to chase or be chased. It was very wet today and they came back cleaner then when they left. This is rarely the case as they usually find burdocks or those little green beady balls that stick everywhere.

52 weeks for dogs.

We were in Croatia last week (no I'm not going to post tons of holidayphotos :P) and it was pretty much fun ;)

Actually I didn't want to do something like this but it just came this way, so here I am, trying something new...you don't have to like it, cause I already do ;)

(oh yeah and I never put my tripod in a sea before :D)

This is the enormous stained glass window behind the altar of the church I attend. During services the sunlight streams through the colored glass and illuminates the sanctuary with a warm glow.

"Those boys play for keeps."

I was five years old and wanted a bag of marbles of my own so I could play with the neighbor kids. My father finally relented with the warning, "Don't come crying for any more if you lose them." Happily, I ran off with my small bag of marbles.

Later, when I came home empty handed, he started to give me the I-told-you-so talk.

I said, "It's okay, Dad. I just need a bigger bag to bring home the ones I won."

and that's my marble story
