This was a very weathered piano sitting outside in the elements in Tbilisi, Georgia. People walking by still managed to play a few notes despite its decrepit state.
October 17th, rain all day - 10C - still sitting out for 5:00 wine time - bundled up. Almost 6:00 pm - still raining and the sun decided to make an appearance and graced us with this rainbow. Love sitting out before dinner.
When I woke this morning, I made the mistake of reaching for my phone and watching the video of Jacob Blake's shooting and the resulting protests that turned to riots. These are such turbulent times and there is still so much of a need for a call for unity. Who is it that has the voice and leadership who can help heal this nation? I want to have hope that we can get through this and come out better but time will tell. All we can do now is VOTE!
This weather station is built into a wall of the Guildhall in Winchester. The barometer records on to a printed paper sheet wrapped around a drum.
(Seen while walking in Winchester on the Hares of Hampshire art trail)
ANSH 118 (20) seen on a walk or hike
Number 3 in my theme for this week Weather. Whilst driving through Seaford, East Sussex, UK in 2017 a sudden violent cloudburst caused everone to brak hard due to loss of vision as water cascaded down the windscreen.
"Oh, the weather outside is frightful,
But the fire is so delightful.
And since we've got no place to go,
Let It Snow! Let It Snow! Let It Snow!"
This fall has been a pretty rough one as of late. Rain, clouds, and severe weather have become the norm. It could not have hit at a worse time when maturing crops are at their most vulnerable. We are expecting 4" of rain over the next week, that doesn't include the 2" we have received over the last few days. Wind has already damaged a large part of the soggy crop, and has become a struggle just to harvest in the mud. Historic low prices don't help either, though the crop appears to be a good one.Definitely patience and a little luck is going to be needed in the next month or so....
I risked a walk with Archie the dog today in Glen Cannich. We managed to dodge the showers but only just.
This shot is from the path above Liatrie.
I wanted to try and capture the beauty I saw in the decay when I came upon the weathered and worn old door of the Rose Inn - situated in the 1830's abandoned village of Hartley in the Central Tablelands, New South Wales.

A weathered old shed at my favorite nursery...you can also find the best tomatoes, peaches and sweet corn there. It’s run by several of the friendliest country seniors you’ve ever met....
There was plenty of stormy weather in 2022 all the way down the east coast of Australia. And that included the island state of Tasmania.
A bit of drama in the sky this morning as a frontal system passed through. We raced down to the lookout and snuck in a few quick shots before beating a hasty retreat.
Trees changing color right before our eyes. Fall is full of surprises with the weather and brilliant colors. Thanks for viewing my work. Be kind.
Chiesa di santa Barbara, La Valle, La Val or Wengen, Provinz Bolzano, Italy. It was a day with variable weather conditions in the Badia Valley (Val Badia, Badiatal).
We're busy prepping for the coming arctic blast and snow here in Louisiana. For a lot of you, a few inches of snow is no big deal, but here it is a major weather event!!
Be safe and stay warm!!
the twists and turns of life eh?
Friday I received my first photographic 'commission'. It's a friendly one. Chuffed to bits and hope to share more about this, soon. (i was going potty about this yesterday here, so i've calmed it down a bit :-)
You would think this photo had been converted into black and white but no I have only changed the levels and add a vignette, it was a rather gray day we went to the beach.
Definitely not sunbathing weather.
