This old ranch has been standing since the 1860's and is slowly being reclaimed by mother nature. If you have the time to stop and soak in the history, it's well worth the time. PS plenty of wonderful wineries in the area as well!! Or so I've heard ;) Kris
We put an electric heater and a water bowl on our patio. I keep warm water in the bowl and the birds are sure enjoying it. Not a very good picture through the class and a screen.
Our area is not prepared for the weather we are having.

Off out out again to climb Culardoch and Creag an Dail Bheag, 2 Corbetts in the Scottish Highlands. Cycling along the track on the approach we came across this gnarled tree that must have withstood some weather over the years.
Culardoch is a Corbett standing at 900 meters (2952 feet), while Creag an Dail Bheag stands at 863 meters (2831 feet).

This was a very weathered piano sitting outside in the elements in Tbilisi, Georgia. People walking by still managed to play a few notes despite its decrepit state.
A strong storm system followed me home but there was a break in the clouds once I got to Cape Charles on the Eastern Shore

A bit of drama in the sky this morning as a frontal system passed through. We raced down to the lookout and snuck in a few quick shots before beating a hasty retreat.
