This is another photo from Hasliberg. I edited this one rather strongly including copying the person from a photo I took a bit later. The harsh light of the midday worked quite well for this exaggerated high contrast black and white look and the dramatic clouds.
Older, weathered barn, and by the looks of it, sporting a new aluminum roof.

April in Iowa typically brings an increase in wind speeds and it's also the start of the severe thunderstorm and tornado season. This scene is looking down a country lane at a small family farm in Keokuk County, Iowa.

A black and white, Lensbaby photo of a weathered old wooden barn in a snow covered field. With a focus on the structure, the lens adds a bit of blur around the edges of the photo. The scene evokes the quiet solitude of a rural winter landscape, where the history of the structure tells a silent story of it’s survival against the elements.

Panorama de la vallée de la Vésubie, jour de pluie. Photos assemblées avec Hugin software.
One year later (i.e. fall 2020), the Alex tempest made the Vésubie river that you can see, raging and devastating villages, houses and roads. Many victims and isolated people were accounted. We, scientists, have good reasons to think that such intense storms are direct consequences of the climate warming.

I hadn't photographed since April due to work, but last night I was on the road again.
There was no wind at all, but you could see at the clouds that bad weather was coming.
Weathered and Worn old building closed up and slowly falling down, now threatened by another approaching storm shot in North Carolina.
I have blotted out, as a thick cloud, thy transgressions, and, as a cloud, thy sins: return unto me; for I have redeemed thee.

After a cloudy day at sea in the South Atlantic, the appearance of a setting sun proved to be a harbinger of sunny days we would soon experience.
The cliffs on Cannon Mountain in Franconia - site of a number of accidents, injuries, and deaths. The size of the talus slope attests to the enormous amount of loose rock which falls relentlessly.
Hello everyone ... long time, no see. I've been spending a bit of time wandering the coastline over the past months ... mainly near home in South East Scotland, but up in the North West, when it's been permissible, too. This series is of some close-ups of the sedimentary sandstone and mudstone rocks I've been looking at. I hope they give an impression of the forms, textures, tones and 'designs' that always delight and amaze me in weathered rocks like these.
or so they tell us--for a bit at least. It's been one blast after another for months, it seems!

I'm back! Hopefully I will start upload and favorite your beautiful photos soon :) just need to rest after holiday in Thailand and visiting friends...
Throwback from a trip to Vorupør August 2018. Arrived with late summer temperatures of almost 30°C and 18 hours later a weird storm came in with strong winds and almost 20°C drop in temperature. This is shot halfways out on the wind breaker.
